Our kit includes Easy NBT (eNBT) Retrofit Adapter to connect between head unit and vehicle. That's what makes the NBT retrofit in E-series possible. USB/AUX, microphone and BT antenna you will need to re-route to the back of the NBT (if available). Pin-out instructions are provided to all customers!

In the CIC system, the CIC head unit connects directly to the CID via dedicated cable (this cable does not connect to anything else); does your complete NBT/Display/eNBT adapter use the existing CIC-to-CID cable, or does it include the specific cable designed for the newer NBT-to-Display?

I just don't know if I can use my existing CIC-to-CID cable or if a different one is required, or are you saying the eNBT also connects the NBT head unit to the NBT display?

The eNBT Retrofit Adapter does not include video cable (NBT to CID). You cannot re-use your existing video cable, you must buy a new video cable to connect NBT head unit to CID. If you get from us the kit (not just the eNBT Retrofit Adapter), this video cable will be included.

This is exactly what I needed to know. I'm waiting on backordered parts from Germany that will take up to two months before I can purchase the complete kit.

CIC or NBT retrofit will not affect engine tuning in any way.

I have a 520d F11 BJ 2010 with CIC navigation professional. I have now bought a NBT-Set to retrofit it in my car. Is it even possible in a F10/F11 before 2012? on the internet I find Contradictory statements.

I have found this adapter:
http://bimmerretrofit.com/store/inde...&product_id=71

but my bimmerretrofit dealer in germany says that this adapter would not work in F10/F11 before July 2012.

has someone retrofitted in his F10/F11 (before July 2012)?

Can anybody measure width of NBT display unit (with plastic frame)?
I'm interested in retrofitting NBT from f30 to my non-idrive E90, but without changing dashboard.

yes you have to replace the display as the nbt headunit and screen uses a different connection to the cic

Sports Display - Power and Toruq

We are constantly improving all of our products, and we are proud to share with you two of our latest improvements for the Easy (eNBT) Retrofit Adapter.

1. Now all of the NBT head units are supported. This means that HW21 is no longer an issue! YES, HW21 is now supported and navigation will work perfectly fine in your E-series BMW with NBT powered by our eNBT Retrofit Adapter!

2. Our eNBT Retrofit Adapter now supports the Sports Display for NBT head unit in E-series! You can have Power and Torque displayed on the screen, just like it appears in F-series! It will show you real-time Torque and Power values of your engine.

More pictures to come!

I want to do the same. How would I replace the display? Is it a DIY and where do I get the parts from?

Thanks

When you get the complete NBT Retrofit Kit from us, you will get everything that you will need for upgrade, and you will not need to worry about the display.

question, does your adapter work with the CCC unit or do I need to upgrade to CIC?

eNBT Retrofit Adapter can be used to retrofit NBT into E-series. It is compatible with E8x, E9x, E6x, E7x with CCC, CIC, MASK or no navigation at all.

Hi that is nice to know, but I am not able to find your kits for the E-series only the eNBT adaptor?
Can you please provide me with a link to the retrofit NBT kits you sell for the E-series?
I am driving a E90 from 2007 with CCC that I would like to upgrade in the near future.

Our NBT Retrofit Kits for E-series are not yet posted on the website, but we still offer them. Please kindly send an email to info@bimmerretrofit.com and include your vehicle's VIN. VIN number of the vehicle is absolutely required for a quotation.
