I also bought this same unit and put it in about two weeks ago. The DVD quality is not bad. Although it does not allow you watch while in motion out of the box, I believe there is a bypass. My backup camera will be installed next week and I am thinking about putting a Roku box in there. So far I am happy with the unit, especially for the money.

Thanks for the info! There doesn't seem to be that much of a benefit but choosing the n6 instead for twice the price!
Thinking about ordering one-somewhat interested in waiting for the new android audio. Did a bit of research on the communication systems and it seems like it would be possible to develop an app to retain computer functions with such head unit. |

Has it ever worked or did it recently stop? It's a little picky, you have to aim it at the infrared sensor on the unit for it to register.

Just to clarify before i pull the trigger on one of these. Are they completely Plug and Play. with all audio bongs functioning afterwards. I have rear PDC and i have read that when installing other aftermarket HU they have had to either use and expensive harness to retain the parking sensor bongs or they have had to re-locate their oem HU into the boot.
Also on a side note has anyone got the new android version? |

I personally have a hifi package, which powered up and I was able to use the steering wheel controls, but I don't have pdc so can't comment on that. Whats killing me is the android version didn't come with a manual. So I'm struggling with getting any sound from my speakers, I narrowed it down to either the amp is not being powered up or the harness is meant for an after market amp with rca inputs. For users on this post who have the d5165 version can you please tell me or share a pic of how your 40 pin harness looks like. Below is a pic of what my harness looks like vs what the one they show on the site. Does anybodys have these rca plugs coming out like me or none like the pic from the website? Please let me know asap as this could be why I'm getting no sound. 40-pin harness comparison pic: |

thanks I compared the d5165 to the newer android version and the d5165 does state rear parking sensor comparable whereas the android version doesn't state this. I have the base audio system so I do t have to worry about powering the oem amp. if your not getting sound could be the amp isn't getting the remote signal to turn it on when the HU powers up. can't help with wiring though sorry. good luck

Thanks! I do have this stray blue wire sticking out of the harness that is labelled amp-con. I'm flying blind without a manual.
Now, does anybody on this thread know which pin location on the oem 40-pin harness maps to the remote amp on switch? I looked through the pin map on this forum and it didn't seem clear. Just had one labeled 12v dc and another for 12v ac. Please help me guys! Or does the remote on for the amp doesn't come from the hu? |

I bought one of these units at the weekend. The fitment was terrible, firstly the climate control unit would not fit the fascia without removing two lugs. Then fitting into the vehicle was atrocious. The mounting screws were too short and the bottom of the facia stuck out, I removed some of the plastic all round and managed to get a better fit.
Secondly and most annoyingly the unit keeps losing all the preset radio and colour scheme settings every time I lock the car up and leave it for a few hours, if I lock it and leave it 20 mins it's ok. I have looked at the wires at the back however the input is canbus so no +12v Anyone got any suggestions? Thanks in advance. |

Dynavin N6 is the best unit of this type(Oem Look) and is well supported by the vendor that advertizes here.(Jeff) |
