LOL that totally sucks.. dont you just hate that.... heres a couple other I CANT PARK rants..
do you hate it when you park on the other side of the parking spaces so you have NO CARS AROUND YOU.. only to walk out to see this one car parked RIGHT NEXT TO YOU with about 20 empty spots around? makes you wonder if they do it on purpose. Or... When you see this nice compact spot to park in since the mall lots are completly full only to find this massive truck or SUV parked in companct taking up 2 compant spots! example:

Wow, it's people like you that give Bimmer owners a shitty reputation... Get over yourself, it's a 3-series, not a Ferrari.
I'm glad those people parked your stupid ass in like that, maybe one day you'll learn your lesson.

The funny thing is...this clown probably had no idea he would get this kind of response when he started this thread and will most likely STILL post an indignant rant the first time his double parked car gets keyed.

Entirely. And why not? Would you honestly be angry if someone in a Ferrari/CGT/LP640/Veyron parked in two spots? I still wouldn't do it but I wouldn't have a problem with someone who did.

in the end, it would still piss people off because 1)supercar, 2)took up two spots, and the supercar still gets keyed. |

Sometimes when I go to a supermarket in the middle of the night, I take up 2 spaces or I sloppily park because there is a total of 5 cars, and there is space for 500. |

That would be some serious "rough justice"!
Personally, I think it's well deserved that those 2 other people thought to teach you a lesson for taking up 2 spots. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem you've learned it. As a side note, I wouldn't park horizontally either. They can really box you in that way.

i think that it's more of an issue when people do it and there are not really any other spots around... and other people could be using that extra spot..

I almost always park curbed at one side and walk. If someone wants to ding you, they will. I got a ding and luckily it got repaired by PDR. I witnessed a fat boy open his door into my car when there was plenty of room. that was with my other car so I let it go--he was with his mommy and I just didn't want to get into it. Sometimes, parents will protect their children no matter what they do. Plus, since the kid was under 16, in reality, there would be nothing I could do anyway.
Once I inadvertently took up more than one space, parked all the way at the end, one mile away, with nobody around but a tour bus. To my shock, when I got back, the parking lot was full due to the movies starting for that evening. Luckily, nobody bothered the 335 and they let one space be wasted. I'm afraid that given our current society, there's a lot of not doing unto others. There wasn't even a Santa Claus rally this year, and today wasn't the greatest day to window dress either. Happy New Year! |

You own a 3 series. Nice car, but you need to get over yourself. If you don't feel stupid enough already from the pounding you've gotten on this post, check out this pic of this Bugatti Veyron, which is worth more than 23 times your 3 series (this was taken two weeks ago in L.A. on my cell phone)...

All good... although I don't think I quoted you.
Anyway... I've been driving a beater for 10 years, but am taking delivery on my car in two weeks. It's going to drive me crazy thinking about where to park now (I used to be the car that everyone would avoid!).

Because PUBLIC parking lots are dynamic and just because there are 30 spaces available when you arrive, doesn't mean 30 people won't pull in 5 minutes after you do. I don't see why it's so difficult to just drive down a couple spots and park with a couple spaces in between as a buffer. Do you really need to save 5 seconds THAT bad?
Although I understand where your coming from (and we're starting to split hairs here), I still think common courtesy & respect for your fellow drivers should trumpt pure laziness. Yes, if it's 3am and not a soul in sight, I would care less if pulled in and saw you parked like a dousche. But why not just get in the habit of ALWAYS parking courteously?

Ditto! The all-time worst, most inconsiderate act is when people park in handicapped spots. This infuriates me.
