+1 or near zero. A few of us, me included our needle is sitting a little below zero while engine is off.

actually ya your right it is closer to zero not on it though. So is my car actually only running like 4psi of boost or do you think my guage is messed up. If I'm only running 4psi there would be something wrong with my wastegate or something right?

Guys, don't worry about the gauge not sitting exactly at zero when the car is off. The question is--Is it accurate when driving?
My gauge does the same thing as you guys' gauges where it sits a little bit on the bottom of zero but it is pretty accurate. I calibrated the gauge in this thread: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=134582 .

Bump. I have an interest in the gauge setup, and I noticed some others did too so I thought I would bump this thread.
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=401035 I am going with the same guage and lines, sounds like that works well, and I ordered this. I might try to mount it right to the vent that is at the edge of the dash, the diagram on realoem dot com showed it as a sepperate $3 part from the dash itself, so if I do need to return the car to it's original condition I won't have any issues. We'll see when everything comes in how it works! Thanks again Mr. 5! X... |

Very nice write up. I have a question, do you think i could wire the electrical to the ciggarette lighter positive and negative or just find a good bolt to get the ground on.

Update.
This is what I came up with for a mounting solution I mounted the guage to the pillar (with just a tiny screw hole drilled through it) and the lines run through the small vent just under the guage. I will need to get a "cup" for the backside of the pod because it looks unfinished out there now, I will update when I get done. The only other thing I would like to change is the guage lights up when the power is on now, I'd like to undo that. X... |

BTW the pillar is pretty cheap, so no big deal in drilling into it. X... |

Airbag didn't blow off that way in another vehicle I had (goes toward the b pillar, not your face) and it's mounted lower than the airbag. Perhaps if both go off, but I'll be in bad shape if that happens either way. LOL

Well I just used the mounting hardware the gauge came with until I had a received my Ver 1 gauge pod from Rixter, which he since discontinued and created the vent gauge. I still have that silicon pod somewhere..

I'm still content with my solution, just have to find a "cup" for the backside of it to hide the wires. The stupid NYS Registration hides it pretty well, but it's still Ghetto.
