My dealership is in Scottsdale, AZ so I assume that I will take delivery of my vehicle after all of the CA customers. My salesperson told me that my aero kit will be installed at the VPC (along with "installation" of the wind deflector) and the rest of the stuff (illuminated door sills and tint) will be done in Scottsdale. Maybe I'll take delivery by around the 22nd? Do you think I'm being conservative with my estimate?
The VPC work is going to slow your car down. It is always a tough call when it gets held up at the VPC for after market work. For Scottsdale delivery without the VPC work, it should only take seven days for delivery to your dealership. Because you are having work done at the VPC, it is a guess depending on their work load. I think the 22nd is realistic. Someone on one of the other threads, maybe Hudson Leader or Aphrodite Leader (somewhere around that time period), had aftermarket work done at the VPC. The wait was killing him, but I can't remember how long that it took in the end for his car to get through the VPC. You might want to check those threads around that time period for some clues.

My dealer gave me an estimated arrival of the 15th, and this is a Cali dealership, do you guys think that the 15th is a realistic date or is that too soon?

For southern CA it shouldn't be a problem. Northern CA, possibly. If it's a euro delivery, no way.

Has your vehicle arrived at the VPC yet?

According to my CA, despite unloading from Falstaff, my vehicle is still awaiting transfer to VPC.

I have not yet checked in with my dealership to get a status but I think i might give them a call over the weekend to allow for some time from VPC to them, i figure i dont have any mods or anything to be installed so hopefully it will be quick.... I will definitely post some updates as soon as i have them though.

Strange. The dock and the Oxnard VPC are only about a mile apart, so unless our cars are just sitting in the huge parking lot at PH, your CA may not have the most accurate information.

Also, GRAND VENUS and KASSEL are due to dock today, with a lot more BMWs/Minis, so I would think they would need to make room and get the FALSTAFF's cars processed ASAP. At least one could hope...

Does anyone know how to track a vehicle once it has left the VPC?

I read somewhere that BMW uses Waggoners Trucking for transport.

However, the tracking via VIN doesn't seem to work on Waggoners Trucking's website...

Thanks so much for the information, spn. This is the third BMW I've ordered ('02 330ci, '04 330ci) - so I've grown accustomed to waiting - but this is the first one I have actually tracked. Your insight is very helpful.

Here it is. Call them tomorrow with your VIN. They are even open until noontime on Saturdays:

Wagoneer's Trucking toll free #: 1-800-449-3195.

Give them your VIN. They can tell you if your car has been released to them for trucking, and if it has, they can tell you where the truck is and when it will reach the dealership. They have great customer service.

Where in California are you located?

...out of curiosity, what does the 800 # and BMW OC website say for your vehicle's current status?

Yeah, that guy on the Hudson Leader thread (who was having a spoiler added at the VPC) had to wait quite a while - 2+ weeks - for delivery of his car at the dealership. I got the aero kit; I may be the last person reporting "ownership" on this thread.

I just got off the phone with my CA. My car is due to arrive at the dealership (Niello BMW, Sacramento) some time tomorrow (3/14). It's getting detailed on Saturday, and I have a 10:00AM appointment on Sunday to pick it up!!!

I'll post pics afterwards.

Does it really take an entire day to detail and finalize everything before pick up? Or is it possible to pick up your car the same day it arrives?

From what I've seen, the answer is no. In my case, however, the detail work is a part of the deal I made with my CA, and he needs the car for about a day to complete (along with all of the PDI work).

If I didn't have this done, I'm guessing I could have picked up the car tomorrow night.
