no prob, i almost forgot until my GF reminded me. it's hard to tell how much of an inconvenience papal visit really will be; the road closings, train schedule, etc. are defined but how much the detours will affect the surrounding area along with the influx of people for the "meeting of the families" events all week long is unknown. some media is saying 1.5-2 million extra people in Philly and suburbs which could certainly affect traffic on roads that are handling traffic detours...then again it's "the media" so they sensationalize everything.

Here's an E-Mail from Helix regarding the Pope visit:

Hey Tom,

I saw that someone mentioned that the pope will be in town the weekend of the 25th. We completely overlooked this and traffic will be a nightmare everywhere around Philly.

If it works better, we would like to move the event to October 9th and 10th, with spill over on Monday the 12th or Thursday the 15th.

If people are really set on that weekend, we can still do the 25th of September and not do the 12th or 15th of October spill over.

SO HERES THE DEAL: I know we all want this done ASAP, trust me, but is everyone really OK with going into Philly on the dates we picked? Anyone from NJ, unless you go way north or south, then come in from the West, can pretty much bet that they're not getting there in a reasonable amount of time.

Awesome, I'm pretty much set on changing the date for the sake of everyone's sanity getting there.

I'll respect any members who say they still want to do September, but I really don't think it's a great idea
