I'm cool with trusting a member. We all can easily trust each other with leg shots and we all know we have the resources to hunt a member down if they bs us.

And you wouldnt make the hunt team. We can't risk those legs.

Don't even try! You beat me by a landslide, I get to perv your legs! For a charity of course...

You and UncleWede

made that thread fun enough for us all, where bimmette deserved all the votes for the effort she put down. Considering this is an internet community, I truly have so much respect for all the voters, and the donator (c5) for pulling through. Because of you, any female member will think twice before trying to get any attention with photos, and maybe someone reading it all sees we females are not out for that here either.

From Elfster.com

Quote:
How To Play Secret Santa on Elfster.com?

Become an honorary elf on Elfster.com and follow the simple steps in setting up a Secret Santa game for your office, family, fraternity, work, etc. Give us the names and email of the people that will participate, and us elves will take care of the rest. We know how to play Secret Santa, we know how it works, we know how to do Secret Santa - we’re elves, after all. And we’ve made it all easy for you!

It starts with an invite. Players receive an email inviting them to join in the Secret Santa game and sign up on Elfster. They can create a wishlist on the site from hundreds of the best online place to shop. Us elves generate the game pairing up the people in your group. You get your person’s name that you will be the Secret Santa for and keep it a secret..shhhh..don’t tell. Buy them a present staying within the limits of the group (specified by the organizer of the game, can be any dollar amount). Then all you have to do is exchange your gifts on the date of the event
We could require an address to be submitted when donating to the GFM site. From there we can send out the invite to that email address. Seems simple and it keeps your address limited to the one person who's sending the gift.

Confused. So all that website is doing is picking names randomly? I think I'm capable of doing that.

Its not that you are not capable, its that we are trying to make it more appealing to other forum members who may not be as active on the forums and who don't know you and want to have there info more anonymous.

edit: also if you were to pick names then technically you couldn't play. you would have to be the moderator

Yes, that as well as not having a single member be able to create a database of member addresses to sell on the black market.

In addition, you can create an electronic wish list.

I don't think we should do a wish list. I always thought wish lists were greedy. I think only 3-year-olds should be allowed to say "I want this and that..."

nothing like coming home each week and finding packages waiting for me on my doorstep... it's like, Christmas... every week...

I thought we were just giving our info to the Canadian?? She's in CANADA, do you know how long it would take for her to come stalk any of us?? Plus, they'll never make it, metric system vs imperial, pounds vs kilos, KPH vs MPH... we're totally safe...

Maybe at least have ideas for each person. I mean I could probably think of ideas for Tonka, C5 and you, maybe lups but everyone else I don't know enough to get something ether they could use and/or find funny.

I agree, i prefer some info about what someone is interested in than a "wish list". Although i know someone who recently bought some stuff for someone they don't know very well and it was quite difficult to for them produce a thoughtful gift.

A tomato to a member and she has all of us drugged.

Fucking Canadians with their superior food and company and cool chicks and them being suspicious over mildly flamboyant Europeans.

And their politicians are hot guys with brains.

I hate them all.

V1, I think someone made a good point that the roughly $1k or so we raise doesn't do much for a hospital like that, but it can be really life changing in a third world country. I think our efforts are better put to use there.

I think the Secret Santa website is a good idea, and there's quite a few options. Drawnames even lets you ask questions anonymously.

Gift cards would be a bit uncreative.

Ok
Maybe with that $1,000 we can fly mama lups to a third world country to help the needy families directly.
