Not having a vacuum line plugged into the actuator or a leak in a vacuum line or pinching a vacuum line are the most common problem when someone emails me about finishing an inlet install and not having boost. Can easily happen too when doing a turbo install. If you disconnect the brake booster line right after you turn the car off and don't hear a whoosh sucking in sound you are leaking vacuum somewhere. What I would do is use a mityvac hand pump with vacuum gauge ($30 any hardware store including harbour freight) and connect it directly to the vacuum lines coming off the brake booster lines going to the solenoids and pull a vacuum on them with the pump to see if you have a leak anywhere in those lines and the connect directly to the lines coming off the solenoids going directly to the actuators to see if there is a leak there. Also if you are quite enough you can hear the wastegates close with the hand pump at about 6-7" HG on the gauge
If you don't have vacuum to the wastegate actuators they are also free to rattle around with nothing controlling them. |

Thanks Mauricio,
This is essentially what I've recommended to the customer. He does not have logs or test equipment -he did get a vac gauge... and with the engine on did some piece by piece testing for vacuum, but I'm not confident the vac lines are plumbed correctly, and I do think that buying a mitivac is an excellent and cheap strategy. Logs of course would help. It's very difficult to diagnose these issues piece by piece over email -doing it without test equipment is that much harder. CN: bite the bullet and buy a mitivac, also get logging capability. Chris |

Once you cleared all those codes, what came back?
Your DME is not getting a signal from either boost solenoid per your page 1 codes pic. If only 30ff and boost solenoid (wastegate signal) codes returned it is directly related to the DME - solenoid signal. Check your harnesses if running JB4 and check the solenoid electrical connectors are fully seated.

Sorry for the late response guys been busy with school. Good news is got the problem resolved idk how. But I had a new water pump and battery put in and after that I haven't got another 30ff code sense or any type of codes. I appreciate everyone's help in trying to track it down.

Lol crazy how this was a "turbo issue" and now the problem is fixed without changing anything related to the turbos. Bet VTT is glad to see this go away.
