Castro had a choice between US capitalism and soviet communism/socialism. He chose wrong. So did North Korea, etc. Castro is the sole reason that cuba is in the shape its in. He could have easily switched back to the US after the Soviets fell. He chose not to. Now that he's dead, a good example of how oppressed the cuban population is, is that now for 9 days nobody is allowed to play music. If you get caught even listening to music on ear buds from your phone you're hauled off to jail. Sounds like a wonderful country. Be thankful you're here and not there Scottsinger.
