If only you were closer. Can you PM me the dimensions and weights of each box - I'd like to check rates with a business account through FedEx, that might make it more palatable. I'm in SC and that $250 in shipping is a deal breaker.

Here it is, just in case anyone else is curious.

Tubes box
57 x 15 x 15
49lbs

Muffler box
42 x 25 x 13
32lbs

The muffler box size is just my estimate on what it needs to be, it could be bigger. I couldn't find a box big enough so I tried making one out of 2, but wasn't happy with the durability. If I let the UPS store staff do it, they will make a custom one and insure it. But they also charge $79 for the materials and time.

Who knew shipping something this big was such a PITA?! I've never tried to ship a large item before.

Just to help anyone out a bit... This should supposedly fit on an N54. The downpipe on N55 ends with a Y that lines up in the same spot as the downpipes on the N54. Therefore this exhaust should be able to fit an N54 model.

Thanks for this info. I've been meaning to call someone like Bimmerworld that sells it to try and confirm that, since they wrote up the blurb I posted on page 1 that said it was designed specifically for the N55. I just never really knew what that difference was from a fitment standpoint.

I did some digging and it turns out this exhaust should indeed fit N54 E90's. Check out these 2 links I found:

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=420692

edit: lol, this forum blocks me posting a link to another BMW forum? That's funny! Sorry mods, I've removed the offending link!

so just google "bmw n55 335i exhaust fit n54?" and you can search yourself...

Sorry, I don't know. I tried to search Magnaflow's website and the only results that come back were for the full cat-back system.

I own this exhaust myself for the past 3 years. I have an e90 n54. The tips of the exhaust stick out about an inch in the rear.

Just missing an exhaust. And this sounds like a badass deal. How much total to be sent out here to good ole Dallas?

I cannot believe this hasn't sold yet. Wife's even happier with this setup now that it's got 3-400 miles on it and it broken in. It really sounds great!

Shipping is just so crazy. Thought I had it sold to someone in an adjacent state. Was even going to drive and meet them halfway. Thought we were good then they stopped responding.

It’s such a nice cat back too. Shame. Can’t beat it for the price. And 99% of folks on here will never need more than a 2.5” catback

I'm going to be traveling to NE Arkansas and then through Memphis and onto Nashville over the holiday. Then through Alabama on my way home. Just in case anyone in those areas is along the route so we can skip shipping ;-)
