Surprisingly, the Lexus is faring pretty well to the abuse that I dish out. We are much alike sir and I imagine our driving skill sets are no different. I drive everywhere I go like I should have been there 30 minutes ago. The E93 did not pass the gauntlet of my daily driving. Yes it was fun to drive but spending my entire Saturday bloodying up knuckles from a 20 minute drive got old.

Boxster GTS 4.0 could be a reasonable M2 replacement in a few years, always loved the Boxster and verts more than coupes and the flat-six returning is also a big reason.

Thinking about an E63S Wagon. Need an SUV when my son goes to college, but thinking an E63S could both replace my CLS and give me all the SUV practicality I need in a better and more fun package. If they brought over the E53 wagon, that would be all I need, although the refresh is bringing the inline 6 to the E450 so that could be just enough for me.

Where ever you all live I am happy that I don't. I live in the middle of no where and have absolutely no bad experiences. People may ask questions but I'm happy to answer, but the questions are always on topic and of good taste. People are even afraid to damage my car, I hear them always telling their passengers to be careful getting out.

I'm a friendly person so maybe that helps. Guess I could be considered one of those people you hate, I'll talk to other sport car owners at gas stations and such. I can just see some of you guys being like a few of my clients...stuck up, snobby, miserable people...I did the great purge of their kind last year, at their shock, didn't want their misery rubbing off. It's funny, clients who live in the 500k-800k range houses and drive things like BMW are the worst to deal with, think it's the stress of being a poser. The ones that live in the 1.0mil to 3+ and who have cars that people can only dream of are always the most friendly. Normal house is around 300k here. Funny thing is some of them use to be the kind of people you hate and now employ thousands. Funny how that works. When I go to the track the Bmw people are usually the biggest complainers. Reading these posts make me wanna ditch my car, not exactly the group I want to be associated with.

I'm happy you don't live here too.

Subarus and Priuses seem to be really popular with sanctimonious and judgemental people. They'll take your Bimmer in trade.

That is high praise coming from you, good sir! I have always been concerned about their brakes but if you are saying they are good to go (well...stop), that's all I need to know.

How long have you had it, so far?

Be sure to get air suspension. Those 20" wheels ride like crap in a full size GM SUV.

Looks good but rough riding.

The only cars that are really interesting to me right now are the Boxster Spyder, and the GT3. Unfortunately, I know that I would never be able to drive one of these cars, so not going to happen. (3 kids, so 2 seater wont work, and with our current homeless/mental illness problems in CA, I couldn't park one of those cars at work anymore, my ZL1 was vandalized in the middle of the day)

I am interested in a Tesla, another Raptor, or an F250 diesel with the Tremor package.
Have the wife drive the kids in your truck and you can drive the sports car

Vettes are usually fastest cars at most track days I've been to. Got to love 'em. Sorry to hear about yours. At least you're ok. Can always get another car.

I highly recommend either. I owned the 1LE and my friend had the GT350. They ran damn near even with either of us driving.

Agreed, if I buy another sports car, it'd be a Porsche with a 6. If I sell my M2 for practicality reasons, it'd buy a nice wagon a.k.a. E63 or E53.

Going through the dilemma of sports car vs half arsed compromise. I have just the one garage and one car (and the wifes SUV) would make more sense as i'd save on insurance etc so a M3 Vert would be ideal. But I really want naturally aspirated and the M3/4 seems soulless to me for some reason.

Other option is try to daily a Mustang GT with PP1 and magnaride. Not really gonna happen, too tricky to daily as I still cart kids around. So then I figure why not just get what i want, 911, if I am going the two car route.

Never been a fan of Audi's. I love the looks, but the touchscreen interior is a big no for me (OCD+Gloss black and a lack of physical buttons don't mix well), and in typical Audi fashion, the engine will be too far forward and it will understeer.

I love the current E63S more than the M5 so the wagon is just the icing on the cake. Add on top that AMG engines sound better, has a RWD drift mode, and the car as a whole is more understated than the RS6, and I prefer the classy looks, its definitely my choice.

I'm gonna try to check out the RS6 when it comes out, but in the end I think I'd prefer an E63S, plus the rumors for the RS6 is that they'll be limiting sales/production.

The new NSX will be my next vehicle. I'll end up selling the Exige and the M2 and going down to just the one car.

The RS6 is far too rich for my blood, but does look gorgeous. I would definitely prefer the E63S AMG Wagon over the Audi as well, because RWD.
