I just ordered my 15mm spacers from RE. These mods are addicting.

Good choice, you won't regret it. Buy in some black paint so you can paint the bolts as soon as they arrive: you will need to wait a couple of hours for the paint to dry before you fit the spacers. The paint will inevitably chip a little during the install, but you can easily paint over the chipped areas once the wheel is back on the hub. Post pix when it's done!

Um...wow. what a difference the spacers make. I'll get picts this weekend. There is also less wheel gap now in the rear which makes it look perfect. Easy as cake to install and since I had the wheels off I cleaned and Zainoed the inside of the rims.

Need some clarification here please.

When installing spacers, am I supposed to apply anti-seize to just the hub-center (the part sticking out, red area in picture) or on the entire plate itself as well (yellow area)?

Sorry for the crappy pic lol.

KL thanks for your valuable input.

Anyone there got some pics of spacers on standad E90 wheels and tires? (16 x 7.0 Double Spoke (Styling 156) light-alloy wheels, 205/55R-16 run-flat all-season tires). I wonder how much a 15mm for example will fill the gap between the tire and the car body..

:rocks:
Thanks!

Same here... I had 13mm's on mine and it made them fill in the fenders better.

Exactly: 12,13 or 15mm are just enough to fill out the fenders properly, without making the car look as if it's been modified. Kind of gives the rear a more purposeful, 'M3' stance, while still maintaining the OEM look overall.

10's are not recomended, there have been problems with cracking simply because there is not enough thickness to the spacer, combined with the hubcentric design. Go to Rouge Engineering or do a search.

Another "Spacer" question

I have a set of 17" winter wheels and tires from my '03 530i. They are ASA wheels with a 18mm offset and won't, therefore, fit my e92 with the 36+mm offset. Can I simply buy some 18mm spacer and longer bolts and use these wheels? Obviously, they will need to fit the rotors, wheel wells, etc. But, if I can save the $2500 that the dealer wants for RFT winter tires and wheels...

I won't work. You're doing the math backwards. You'd actually need to shave 18mm's off of those rims to make them fit right... 5 series rims will protrude out too much, and adding spacers will only worsen it.

I'm looking to get some spacer for RE. Would 20mm Spacer be to much?

I am also wondering the same...putting on my summers this weekend and wondering if I can go 20mm rear on my 06 330i OEM sport pkg. I saw pics of a fellow member with same car with 20mm rear 10mm front and it looked perfectly flush. only thing is he had H&R touring cup kit which lowered the car 1.2 inches rear and 1.3 front.

Would lowering the car push the tire inwards or outwards more?

Actually I found the link. Check out this thread. Initially he had 10mm rear and it wasn't enough so they went to the front, and put 20mm rear and I think it's a perfect fit....mind you he's not on OEM sport pkg suspension.
