not a fan of the rear either. i think part of the reason why its weird is because some executive made the decision the car has to be able to carry golf bags... so they added on more luggage space behind the engine and it threw off the design.

What a stupid design decision being able to carry golf clubs is. Someone should mock up a Miata with a huge ass to show how that would have worked out. You want to golf? Take your other car. Stop screwing up sports cars for the fringe idiots.

I concur. The rear ruins the entire car for me. The lights, the vents, the exhaust placement....none of it meshes together in a cohesive fashion. It looks like a bunch of elements from random cars thrown together.

I'm also not a fan of the high-profile spoiler. The low-profile one looks far better with the lines of the car. The high one looks to be a parts-bin spoiler stuck on with Elmer's Glue.

I will say this, in the flesh the car is way smaller than it looks on the internet. NFI why.

Or just throw your clubs in the passenger side like everyone else with a sports car does. Very few are carpooling to the golf course.

And if you're playing the country club and taking your wife / girlfriend so she can go lounge around / play tennis or whatever while you golf, quit the BS and just keep your bag there to begin with.

As with a lot of cars I think it looks a lot better in person. The rear end doesn't bother me nearly as much as it does in photos.

It looks more like a GT car rather than a GT3 fighter. I wonder if they are going to delineate the Z07 trim from the standard Z06 more by offering something more than the spoiler, wheels, and lip. I would hope to see fender vents, wide wheels, roof scoop, just some cool race car stuff rather than a GT car, which the color is very fitting.
So basically, I'm disappointed in what I see, however it's encouraging to keep costs down I suppose.

I'm the opposite. I like that it's tasteful looking and not another Corvette with the Pep Boys treatment.

Z07 pack is definitely going to look more aggressive.

The C7 Z06 without the Z07 pack is a pretty tame evolution from the base too. The Z07 gets all of the aggressive aero.

Multiple C8 Corvettes Destroyed As Transporter Truck Goes Up In Flames

https://www.carscoops.com/2021/10/mu...-up-in-flames/
.
A transporter truck carrying a bunch of brand new C8 Chevrolet Corvettes recently caught fire in a parking lot near Nashville, Tennessee. Videos of the fire were first shared to the C8 Corvette Owners (and Friends) page on Facebook. It is unclear what triggered the blaze but it occurred early in the morning and was quickly attended to by local fire crews.

In the videos, a handful of C8 Corvettes wrapped in car covers can be seen engulfed in flames. Corvette Blogger reports that the transport truck in question can carry up to 10 Corvettes at a time. According to the site, though, only the first half of the trailer caught fire, so maybe not all ‘Vettes were destroyed.

Just sold my m4 a couple of days ago, now I just need a z06 allocation to fill the empty space in my garage. I hope they are available for next summer, although it being released as a 2023 model doesn't give me much hope.

Keep checking with your dealer? A guy here got a Z51 C8 because the owner decided they didn't want it right after taking delivery. So this guy got it way way ahead of all sorts of people waiting for their allocation. The owner of the dealership found out and offered him 300K for the car, but the guy doesn't need the money, said thanks but no. Keep checking to see if something like that happens (someone had an allocation that doesn't want it or does something like sells the car back).
