No shit... never been a huge Acura fan but certain models including the Integra, I have always liked. Can't wait to see how this comes out, hopefully they stay true to the original in terms of design and simplicity.

Crap, I was hoping for a SH-AWD Coupe.

So... a 2 series 4 door / CLA rival? Sounds like a replacement ILX if they are making it a 4 door.
Oh for sure, but at the current market trends, hard for Honda to justify a coupe at all.

Good looking teaser photo, but definitely doesn't scream enthusiast oriented to me. Looks like a luxury sedan with badge engineering. Not that I know anything about it, but I'll take a guess and say it's just the Accord engine/drivetrain - 4 cylinder turbo with an automatic transmission and FWD. But it has potential as a luxury Civic Type R. The previous gen was a little too intense and the current gen Civic has awful proportions, so this could be a hit as an upscale, better looking Type R. But at the rate Acura has been disappointing for the past 10+ years, I'm not holding my breath.

The TLX Type S bombed but that was based on a car that was already too large and heavy. The Civic chassis should make for a better drivers car as long as you are okay with FWD. I still think it's great to see Acura bring this back as this should at least look a lot better than the new Civic hatch that has the sperm whale lookin front end.

As already mentioned, the Integra came as a 4 door option originally so a 4 door new version isn't all that strange (albeit the coupe was the more popular of the two). It's 100% a replacement for the ILX but they are putting the same marketing spin on the name just to create interest (otherwise it would be forgotten just like the current ILX).

My first car was a 1998 integrated that I modded the crap out of when Fast and Furious was the big thing. Oh man, so many memories in that car. It was bulletproof and so much fun.
Looking forward to see this iteration. |

By the looks of it, it will be both a sedan and a coupe. By sedan, I mean 5 door hatch.

Most people remember Integras as hatchback coupes but I had a 1998 Integra GS-R sedan way back when and I remember my drunk friend opening the front passenger door, move the seat forward, and then try to climb in the back seat through the front door....

Even if it's only mid-40s that's still pretty steep for a FWD car Civic with nicer interior and stereo. |

I have a number of friends that got CTR's for sticker or less, in fact I don't think I ever saw one for a markup. Probably happened the first few months, but after that it was just another (powerfully ugly) Honda. |

Either way, that kind of money for a FWD car is likely to be a failure. Make it a hybrid with AWD, it might do better. |
