Mazda doesn’t have a “luxury” division but the higher trim cars are very luxurious. On par w/ many high end brands (MB, BMW, Lexus, etc).

Having some of the overstyled interiors on the above name brands doesn’t necessary scream luxury (ambient lighting, multiple touchscreens, etc). Mazda has a more minimilast approach which doesn’t necessarily mean less luxurious.

I really enjoy my Mazda CX-50 turbo premium plus. I think they're achieving their goal of moving "up market" with these new I-6 offerings.

The 90 is too big for me, but I am looking forward to seeing the 70 and maybe making the jump to it.

IMO, Mazda outright NAILED the mix of physical buttons + screen layout.

I can appreciate that they really have upped their game and make a more premium product than the likes of Honda and Toyota, but it's simply difficult to grasp with $1000/mo+ lease payments on a non-luxury brand car.

And I find it hard to believe their vehicles are truly as luxurious as even a BMW X3. BMW's fit/finish, material quality, Ux, powertrain, dealerships etc. are all top notch.

Not that hard to believe. Just go down to the Mazda dealer and drive one.

People are forgetting life pre Covid lol.

Obviously this isn’t happening nowadays. It was said to illustrate how every car manufacturer has garbage lease deals and finance rates as high as 7% nowadays. Terrible time to get into a car especially on models that still have ADMs.

But yes, a “good” lease is ~1% of MSRP.

I've no idea why anyone is voluntarily buying new. I mean if you absolutely have to, you have to, i get that but man. My Saab is 15 years old, i've no intention to change it out but I don't do many miles. Wife's Stelvio lease is up this November, we will buy it out for $30K with just 13K miles on it and drive it for 10 years if we have to.

60, 70K on cars that depreciate is nuts. One thing to drop it on a used 911 but a mazda SUV? Fark off.

I'm doing the same. Buy out on mine is $29k, keep it another 1-2 years until market hopefully cools.

At this point in time it's just stupid to trade in a perfectly good car for $1000+/mo payments to get literally anything nicer than a 330i. Dealers have been quoting me exactly that if not higher on M240i coupes.

Drove the cx90 on Friday.

It’s a great place to sit and driving dynamics are excellent for a large 3 row SUV; great steering, minimalist design, well damped; the car even had double paned windows.

Even if you’re set to buy a luxury SUV from BMW, MB, Lexus, Audi, you really owe it to yourself to drive this car. Even if it’s just as a reference point.

The fact that it kept up with the X5 and GLE in a roll race is respectable.

I'm also taking a good look at the CX90 as a replacement for my wife's CX5.
