The interesting thing was that you may at first imagine that this area of India would be absolutely over run with the little buggers, but the rats breeding 'programme' slowed dramatically once their numbers reached a certain point. This was not due to a lack of food source either, leaving scientists to believe that it is down to comfortable numbers living in a social group and everything that that entails.

Nature always balances things out imo...........not sure what it means for humans though!
Nice theory - how does it explain this???

Man, that is something else!

However, I can't help thinking it reminds me of something i've seen before... Ah yes, Monday morning on the London Underground!

'People' and 'Mice', quite similar really.

My theory is ....................or rather seen it explained:

"The Black and Norway rats and the House Mouse (rodentia) were first introduced to Australia around the same time as colonisation commenced. It is believed that the rats and mice all boarded the first fleet of ships and subsequent fleets that left England in early 1700’s destined for Australia." Bit like little old bunny flump who is not indigenous to Australia and populations have exploded............takes mother nature a few years to balance the books or rather provide a predator(s) to even the score.

Hate supermarket dings.

Always cast an eye on the sides when getting back to the motor.

If there is a problem, return the compliment

I see what you are saying but it would soon become a very sad world if people resorted to doing that, when perhaps the car next to them wasn't guilty of said dent!

Burt Reynolds wasn't in it. You're thinking of Cannonball Run.

And thanks, I really enjoyed the trip.

its actually quite easy to tell if motor next to you is guilty. Chances of another motor parking such that its door is in the exact same level to cause a ding is virtually nil. Careful examination tells you who is guilty.

Anyway - I was being a bit OTT. TBH while I would, I have never - because I'm anal about parking away from the great unwashed

I dont leave mine in car parks etc, if I go shopping etc I use my old 52 reg astra that I have for work, and that has picked up some sort of damage on atleast 4 panels that I can think of in the last 6 months, one on the boot hatch where someone on a BMX crashed into me when I was stopped at some traffic lights!

I would hate to see the state of my BMW now if I didnt have a second car, especially since the e90 doesnt have any bumpstrips on the doors.

I know what you mean about taking the older car. I have a 1995 4Runner I use for downtown. I was driving it yesterday and noticed a cool breeze coming up from the door. Makes sense, the bottom is rusted out on three of the doors and the top of the tailgate. If someone wants to bang on my doors of that they can have at it (they should watch out for the running board, though).

some git grazed my back bumper this morning whilst it was parked in Tesco's car park, despite the fact that I parked about as far away as possible. I suspect it was the POS Rover 600 that was driving out as i walked back to the car.

Luckily mananged to buff it out, but I was not a happy camper this morning

Current status = pissed off

Fucking kids (son) has scratched front wing with handlebar of scooter, down to primed metal. No denting but wing now needs painting. The little shyte denied it but with the handle of his scooter right next to the damaged panel, it was a clear cut case. I was so mad I could have snapped his bastarding scooter in two.

Not facking happy.

So tommorrow morning it's off to the paint guy in own, see what moolah it's gonna cost me.

I park where there is no chance anyone needs to come near the vehicle, so nobody has to walk past it to get to the shop/etc so usually at the edge of the car park as close to decent motors as possible.

Trouble is, my drive is where people have to walk to get to my house.

Bloody kids and their bikes! Off to the paintshop in a mo; might aswell get the rear bumper and diffuser painted at the same time. Perhaps it was a premonition and I should congratulate my boy for kick starting me into getting it done?
