Just got mine tinted yesterday and it looks great! I got 40% all around, I didn't want to take a chance at getting pulled over and to be honest its perfect. Not to dark, but perfect! I drive to LBI a lot on the weekends and the cops there are brutal so I didn't want to worry about it. ITs funny how lots of people now look at my car b/c they can't really see me inside it hah

Thanks Rev for setting this up!

I think it depends on the cop and the location. I have friends who have gotten pulled over for tint and got fix-it tickets and had to get their tint removed. But then I also know other people (including myself) who have gotten pulled over for tint, and have just gotten warnings.

When I got pulled over it was both for my license plate and tint, but I was only given a ticket for the plate and a warning for the tints. The cop just told me I wouldn't pass inspection with tints and that I should get it removed.

If you get a tint ticket in freehold it's a mandatory court appearance, and supposedly they'll come out and check your car. But besides that it's usually just a ticket that you pay and that's it.

awesome! yeah, my 20% catches some attention everywhere hahaha. very glad with it, only thing i am noticing is the rear quarter panels look like they are bubbling around the original lines of the window.

My rear quarter panels are realllll clean and perfect. I do have a line of bubbles on the rear window that i'm hoping will go away. I was told you have to give it 2 weeks for the tint to fully dry and all the bubbles work themselves out. After 3 days you can roll down your windows....we'll see!

i have a few little bubbles in the rear little windows and quite a few around the rear windsheild... hoping their assessment of drying out in two weeks is correct
its been a week so far and im happy with it except for that minor detail

It depends on the weather too, a lot of sun helps that's why it's always better to get the car tinted while it's still warm out as well.

Yes it is a primary offense, and even if it wasn't I can guarantee you they can find a reason to pull you over.

I'm really debating whether to tint or not. Aw e90 with tints would be very noticeable, even with light tints, but I don't want to give a cop a reason to pull me over.

lol, got pulled over tonight on NJTP between exit 5&6, cop let me go free and clear, and another to comment on the ride! i think he pulled me over just to check it out(even though i switched lanes without/forgetting to signal)..didn't say anthing about my dark as night tints. said he was a bmw enthusiast as well, gave me his sn for bmw post but of course i didn't write it down, was telling me he pulls over like 100 bmws a month, lmao. if your on here, you make me rethink about some cops and thanks!!!!, anyways, alexosma, my car screams pull me over with 20s..but i'll never take them off, but then again so far i have had nothing but some very cool coppers pull me over.
