I was just looking over the graph and noticed the large spike in power.

OP explains it as a slipping clutch.

Is that possible for a slipping clutch to make more power?????

I would think the opposite - a slipping clutch would mean less power is getting from the drivetrain to the wheels.

So why does the horsepower shoot up like that indicating that more power is hitting the wheels?

I would think the same, The only way I would think you would see a spike like that is if the car speed sensors were hooked to the dyno.

Looking forward to the beans being spilled on this.

More information will be released on that soon as well. I will be very particular in my selection and I will have a full review / diy as soon as it is completed. I goal is 2-3 weeks for that review to be posted.

If you do a quick search on the net, you will see the exact same thing everytime. Remember this is a Mustang Dyno so the rapid spike in rpms (you can see it on the A/F run) will be interpretted as a huge rise in power. I have multiple witnesses that can verify this as well if needed.

WTF That's just cruel and unusual punishment! Next time don't space your teaser and your diy/review so far apart! or else!

That is very impressive. I'd love to see if your 1/4 mile mph correlates with your dyno. Any chance of you hitting up the strip?

I am planning on renting a track as soon as I install a new clutch, then get it broken in.

What would be nice is if these gains were from camshafts and an intake manifold!

Sad to see dynos of wounded cars. I would appreciate to see everything working.

My 2 cents.

Lol, wounded? The clutch slipped and let go at almost double stock hp levels. The stock fuel system help up beautifully and that is superb information. Going into the dyno almost everyone expected the clutch to go, but now we have solid data about what power levels the clutch will slip.

I am sorry Eugene, but installing a clutch and broking it in will take weeks. The data here is going to be extemely useful to the community. For the last 3 years, I have tried to offer useful data to the forums and I will be presenting this review the same as all the others I have posted... informative.

When the new clutch in installed and broken in, you can expect the rest of this dyno session.

Former, I am not sure what your experience is with cars and power levels, but I would strongly look into a progressive shot that will shift the tq higher into the rpm band. Making that much tq down low only raises the risk of potential failure. It is pretty safe to say you are entering uncharted territory, be smart/safe about it. Looking forward to your review.
