If you call a lawyer, the adjuster won't be able to talk to you anymore. They will send it to their legal department until they and your lawyer decide on a settlement.

I would try talking to your own insurance company asap.. They can reassign your claim to someone that is not on vacation. The adjuster doesn't own you. Have them start fixing your car. As I said before, they don't need to wait on the other insurance company to start fixing your car.

Terrible story. Adds to my complete disgust of cops. Obviously I would not balme your wife, she made a mistake after being harrased while she was traumatized. I don't understand why they let these insecure fools enforce the law. I'm sorry for you and your wife on this one. Btw cute kid, I'm sure everything will turn out OK. Gl.

The kid wouldn't let him take the photos otherwise.

If you want this resolved quickly you'll have to either hire a lawyer OR make your insurance pay for it and then your insurance will go after them. Give your insurance company a call. Forget that whole "my adjuster is on vacation" shit. Get some other adjuster.
