I'm thankful I found this thread.

Just last week I've been hearing that siren sound. I first noticed it when I started up the car, and as the revs went down, the siren sound was present. Its' been happening all the time especially under partial throttle in the low gears. And, it does not disappear when the car is warmed up. It's sooo annoying! I scheduled a service appointment so I'll see what the dealership says.

What did the dealer end up saying it was?

Even my RBs with like 1200 miles on them have Siren on cold start. Both N54s make the noise. IMO, normal and not worth worrying over.

It is a worry because I have a lost in power and when I drive the vehicle it'll make the sound when I'm up near 2k or 3k rpm. I also have a JB4 tune but on Map 0 currently... something from the tune messed it up?

When my turbos went I didn't hear a sound. Got no warning whines nothing. One day my check engine light came on and I couldn't boost pass 8psi and the exhaust note was louder. My newer turbos which have about 8k on them have been whining for the past 6k out of the 8k. They hold boost fine and the cars pulls beautifully with my new tune.

Turbo's make noises, if you are losing power or losing oil then it would be a concern IMO.

I'm guessing my turbo(s) is/are going out because I have a lost of power and ever since I put JB4 in and map 5 it started making that siren sound. I think I'm going to just purchase oem ones and try to put them in and hope I have power again.
