so (debug byte 2) is real time ignition correction? I have noticed that when I do a pull it ramps down pretty fast. in a 3rd gear and 4th pull it went from 54 to 41, I know that doesn't sound like much but in graph form it looks more impresive.

right, debug byte 2 is real time/actual correction. the user adjustable IC% is your "starting" value - what it reverts back to if you switch maps or whatever

/edit/ beat me to it

When is the projected date for the boost autotune? (or rough guesstimate?)

Shortly after my vacation which starts now I'll be back on the 31st. Lots of new goodies after that. Including boost autotune. I just didn't want to drop that and then go away for 10 days

how does the launch control work? Is it suppose to hold the rev at a certain rpm?

I tried it a few times yesterday but could not tell if it was doing anything.

Actually when I press both brake and gas fully down, the car starts to rev but then the gas gets cut off.... is this normal?

When I do a normal launch/burnout this doesn't happen unless i press the brakes in too much. Seems like the car's trying to protect itself from the stress...

Well deserved!

When you're back, is the in-dash boost gauge on your next hit list too?

okay, I have to take my car to the stealership for HPFP issues. I threw code 12223. Now when I clear codes with the procede when removing the procede is there any way that i can leave that code in so the dealer can see it without giving it away that i had the procede installed?
I realize i can demod the car and hope to throw the code again, but I'm not going to remove my catless DP's when I go in and I don't want to drive it far enough that I throw a cat code.
Suggestions on the best route to take?

Today i made some quick test with the Launch Controll feature. It works. Not always but sometimes i made black lines on the asphalt. Thats great

Greetings from Germany

Shiv,
It would be great to have a lower RPM launch control setting for those without drag radials or AWD. I don't plan on taking my car to the drag strip but would find the feature useful for those looking for consistent launches on street tires. As-Is it isn't of much use to the majority of 335i owners.

Does the 1 series have the same exhaust solenoid plug? Just wondering, as I"ve always done that mod by crimping the hose line with a zip tie, but that wont trigger any codes.

Thanks

Yeah i would love that too.
Tried launch control yesterday on street tires , and its useless. The car doesn't even move , just spins tires like hell. Can we soften the launch control by reducing the 1st gear UT setting?

Hey guys - just did some more driving and logged a 3rd gear pull. Car feels great, but I was expecting to see a much smoother timing curve.

In this run the IC autotuned from 40 to 30 and on a subsequent run from 30 to 22 (I didn't data log that one)

Does this look too aggressive for the autotune to be lowering the ignition correction?

All settings are default, car is otherwise stock on 93 oct.

Ignition is a little low for my liking... Think your better off with 13.5 PSI

I didn't change the default settings - it's set at 35% UT. If it's too aggresive shouldn't the IC be going in the opposite direction?

No meth. I see 3 events of the DME pulling timing ~3-4 degrees, implying knock events. If I were following the custom tuning insx from pre-autotune maps I would be increasing IC, not decreasing like the autotune is doing. Am I missing something?
