2) Droid running CM 2.1 ROM and now whichever 2.2 ROM was released

I got tired of waiting for the OTA update, so I just installed froyo on my n1 manually. Installed flash player as well. Flash sites generally work pretty well. Hulu doesn't work however as they don't stream to mobile devices. I may try changing the browser user agent string to fool it, we'll see if that works.

Oh yeah, the USB tethering and portable wifi hotspot features in android 2.2 are really nice as well.

I've already tried that. It's blocked based on the IP address of the phone itself .

BTW, I'm replying to you right now from my macbook, which is connected to the internet through the wireless hotspot that is my nexus one. So easy to set up. Froyo is really nice so far, I just can't wait until the final release of Flash Player hits the market.
