Open the folder where you saved the file.
Press alt.
Open tools ==> folder options ==> view
uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types"
now you can change the .txt to .zip

if you're using windows, you need to show file extensions in the file explorer.

otherwise you're just adding to the filename.. not changing anything

since Autotuning is not enabled in meth , which data channel we should replace to view debug 7 %meth channel to people that runing meth and also should we set map2 to IC%50 when meth active or leave it as usual to %0

Just drive 250 miles on the 6/16 autotune, mixed highway with lots of elevation changes. The power is phenomenal: on an otherwise stock car it settled at IC 50 with boost set at 40. That's a good bit more aggressive than ive ever had this car...obviously that's a benefit of auto tune!

crap....i'm getting an error when trying to open the new software...says the version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows i'm running.

i'm about to throw this Vista(64bit) laptop out the window.

The software is basically the same as before. And it is perfectly compatible with Vista. Not sure what you are seeing.

obviously your downloaded file is corrupted...happend to me many times ,especialy when i save attachements for emails downlioaded from Outlook Express.

try it again or go through your webmail

Damn, i did all that and when i try to unzip (extract all) from the Pde reader file it extracts it and then when i click on the extracted file it asks me what program i want to open it with. what program do i chose? i never had to do that with the old user software

Can I set my car to start on valet mode still? Like with the old pde_reader? There seems to be no option for it now.

The map selection is persistent, just select it with the DTC button.

You can, like R1000K3 said but switching between maps and Valet is not a good idea at present as it will reset any AutoTuning the Procede did and your tune will have to re-learn(Autotune) all over again. It's only persistant at this stage if you leave it on the map you prefer and leave it there. As Shiv stated persistant Autotune between all map switching and Valet will eventually be enabled but it still requires some work before it's release.
