Well, the three hours would come from half and half due to the fact that it takes one 2 hours to paint half and the other 3 hours (if I remember the question correctly). They can paint at the same time so the time would be 3 hours.

Sorry I don't spend my days on this website so I can post right away. I will still make fun of the people with idiotic logic though, just no getting away from that I am afraid.

I guess I assumed that they do it in sequence as opposed to simultaneously. Yeah I was wrong but like I said, without having the answers I wasn't sure if it was as simple as that or something different (hence the ? after the answer that took me 1 sec to think about). As for idiotic logic? I beg to differ. Anyhow, I'm not gonna argue with you because you obviously think that posting such comments AFTER the OP has posted the answer makes you smarter than me. lol
