I have to agree with you on that. I am a Yankee fan but I am not the most knowledgeable fan out there. Thats my team and I root for them when they lose or win. We do have a bunch of Yankee fans that are ass hats but not all of us are like that.

Most people would say Yogi Berra and be wrong. He was on the roster as a right fielder. The Yankees became my favorite team in 1960. As a boy I would try to tune in Mel Allen on my dads HiFi system, I was located in Kentucky. Saddest day of my life, last swing of the bat of the 1960 World Series. Most don't know that was the last game of the pre expansion Major League.

I hope game six goes but FYI. The D/FW area is under a severe thunderstorm watch this afternoon and evening. Possible hail and tornados.
Saturday is forecasted to be thunderstorms also. Crap! edit. It looks like it should be game on! Weather has changed to only 20% chance at game time. Last edited by gonzo; 10-22-2010 at 11:44 AM.. Reason: TX weather |

Down a couple for the Rangers, cause they're drinking/spraying Ginger Ale out there. Is Arlington in a dry county?

Congrats Rangers! Destroyed the Yankees.
If the Giants win the NLCS, Giants vs. Rangers will prolly be the lowest watched World Series. I know i won't be watching religiously and just watch the highlights. Most of the country could give two shits about either team and they will not draw viewers. Bet MLB just died to see the Yanks lose and hoping the Phillies at least can win the series to attract more ratings. BTW, the OP jinxed himself with this thread. |

I think it's the team showing support for Josh Hamilton (and possibly other team members) who have had alcohol/drug problems. I'm not a big baseball fan and don't know all the details. I'm only here because the OP posted an ALCS trash talk thread over on the Southwest forum. I just wanted to remind him what he promised and saw your question.
