Although, I have a feeling the 'R' will be pretty good, as the last generation Jags in 'R' disguise were allot better than bog standard models.
You obviously can not drive Ms Daisy, else you would concur with the professional road testers

BTW the Jag has to be driven in the right settings. Dynamic setting for the electronics and sports mode for the gear box makes the Jag far more aggressive than anything ever experienced in the 335D.

I would hardly call it aggressive - more, ummm, luke warm I reckon it's more to do with the fact that Jag has a British history and that's why it gets the ass licking it does. In the right hands, an equivalent 3 series would murder anything Jag has to offer, on a track. Hell, I'd even take a CLS over the Jag.
You shouldn't assume that I have no knowledge about cars or how they should drive. Mr Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag.

So I'm a Chav now, am I? So what gives you that opinion, Mr Jaaag? Do you think you're better than me, because you drive a Jaaaaag? No doubt a leased car of some sorts or a company contributed car.

And do you know the actual difference in being 'Objective' and 'Subjective'? You may want to read my OPINION (yes, that is what forums are for - not for people to just nod at your utter horse shit) again and try again.

I'm going to stick my neck out...

Now come on boys.... We are not on a "mine's better than yours" theme, are we?

BMW vs. Jaguar = DIFFERENT cars. Surely we should forget the track driving stuff, Jag's are superb for driving our blemished UK roads. Something BMW seem to know nothing about. "Boats" vs. "go-karts", it isn't that simple is it?

Driving 3-series, 5-series (E60/1 and F10/11) and the XF Jaguar, the Jaguar can teach BMW some things about real day to day driving dynamics. Fluidity, predictability, ride comfort, a blend of dynamics it is hard to get from a stock BMW.

But... "you pays your money"

Pete, I'm not here to compare cars. The vast majority of people on this forum drive cars which are perceived to be better than mine and there are people here who drive one's which aren't - but who am I to judge. I can't stand people who come on forums and call other people's pride and joy crap - the very same people who were once in 'our' shoes and no doubt, once loved the very same car which they are now criticising. He drives a Jag now - and has forgotten where he's come from. People like that boil my piss. Fake people.
There's ways of expressing opinions and honesty by words - but to offend people at the same time shows lack of respect to the very same people he has conversed with over the years (judging by his post count)

I've not driven either but I'd probibly go for the 320d over the 325i and enjoy the lower running costs and increased range if touring. If I wanted more grunt I go for the range toppers 335i/d but I guess budget comes into play.

And finally... my willy is bigger than your willy
