Unlike some cars, it's a nice feeling driving around under the radar and then showing up some fool in his V8 when you feel like a bit of harmless fun - seeing their face afterwards is a photo opportunity :-) . However, 9 times out of 10 it's more fun letting the ignorant smoke you :-) As some people have posted, the 323 is the sensible man's choice of the three though. Personally I prefer to sway towards feeling than thought when buying cars as every single car I've bought in the past based on thought more than feeling has ended up being boring and sold 12 months on LOL |

Thanks for the advice but I don't know if I should. I don't think I should be concerned about proving myself to everyone whether or not I know how to construct my sentences on an internet chat forum. I'm sure it would be worthwhile for me to do so, if my aim in life is to frequent forums and wanting to sell myself as a fulltime sit-at-home bludger or a post whorer.

haha yeah saw the m3 mini... that is nuts!
can't say that i've put the works on - i would have, if i could afford it! it's definately not worth the 10k premium... but if i had cash i'd get it in a flash! |

BTW guys there was a Top Gear episode in series 7 or 8 which did a comparison of the R32 and 130i. Basically the R32 was considered the better car mainly because of its cost and looks. It's a different market though, as 330s there are only like $5k more than 130s, so why bother with a 130....
Look at the spec sheet for a manual 323 and a 0-100 in 7.9 isn't so bad and more than enough for day to day driving... So, I have to say if it was 18 months ago when I bought my 320 and they were pretty new on the road, I'd have gone with the 323 but now I've gone with the 130 because I like something a little less mainstream. |

have been thinking abt this for the last few days
i think if it was me i'd get a manual 130i by far the fastest and best handler of the lot i dun need much more space than that and the sound of 195kw of bmw powerin such a light car sends shivers of delight down my spine then i'd move on one day to an e92 335i when that didn't do it for me anymore hmmm turbos

Hmmm...I haven't driven one but I've read many good things about the 335...
The only problem I have is that I can't help but think of it as cheating somewhat....a way for BMW and BMW Australia to fill a market segment (ala Cayman) between the 325 and M3...Why can't they just bring out a 3.5L straight 6 instead? |
