I have been having a similar issue (2/07 build) E90 that will not keep the foglights on. Literally they stay on for a minute and shut off. Im going to try wiring in relays as a last resort before I end up getting the dealer to put an updated footwell module in the car. Ive tried 3 sets of HID ballasts with all the same results, error cancellers or not.

thanks matt .... that would be awesome

but first I need to get JLevi to send me a Ballast as a replacement to the one I sent to them a long time ago.

They are saying they will eventually replace both, but when I ask they tell me to wait until they are ready... I want to just send the one ballast I have left to them so they can ship ASAP, but it almost seems like he has really no idea when that will be and just tells me to keep it...

Its really really starting to bother me, they have my number I know that, and I havent recieved any calls regarding progress or what not. I have called them a good 5-6 times since and every time its the exact same story but just pushing back the time when they believe they will have a solution.

I tried them today and they were closed.. they tell me they have none of the older ballasts left, which I find very hard to believe. If you could code out the error I would be on my way and happy.. It worked but than blew out, the one ballast I still have works perfect . I really wish they just sent me the OG ballast as a replacement. I am def rather disapointed with this whole thing.

But I appreciate the offer and will certainly take you up on that once I finally get my second ballast.

Looking forward to getting these bulb error codes corrected.
Cal or Nick, what do I need to do to get this fixed. No right turn signal and I still get the incessant beeping pertaining to a bulb error. I also have the error canceler's.

you folks should contact Jay or Damon. they have the black edtion hid kit for bmw e90. Their hid kit that eliminated these errors 905 of the time and to my understanding they speciflcally were built for this reason alone for e90s halogens. the only difference is the housing which they used oem. now they are using oem ballast and no longer use the the kits except for halos and fog lights. IM confident their kit can possibly fix these issues bc they are rare to find. U would have to dig deep in china to find their hid kits. worth a try in my opinion. I know my first set i used the after market kit and worked perfect and now i ahve switched to their oem conversions.

You're saying that Jay and Damon (not sure who they are??) are using OE HID headlights with OE ballasts/etc. and they're able to install in a halogen car without errors?

I have purchased my first set which was a pre lci conversion and upgrade to their LCI OEm conversion which is complete set up with all oem parts, plug and play for halogen pre lci. they are no longer active on he forum. to my understanding someone bashed and had him banned. Its hard for me to believe that story due to the fact i have purchased two sets of conversion from them and not once i have had any issues. they pretty much got rid of them and those are the only two who specialize on conversions. i guess it wont matter once they release their harness which is all you will need to buy and convert the lights. no longer rewiring the headlights. I guess im going to sell my lights soon and grab the harness bc with that you can buy any lights and plug the harness boom they car converted. ive only see the beta video but i will call jay see if i can see beta on person. arrives this week is what i was told

So if we purchase this harness, it will get rid of the error that we are all currently have with our depo conversion?

Cal is no longer with JleviSW, Nick has been on Jury Duty. It's a lil' hectic here right now.

We've sent the new solution to a customer named Lan, he is beta testing it for us, we're having some difficulty getting it installed properly.

That's all the news I have unfortunately

That explains not hearing or seeing anything. Talked to Jon on your CSR chat...suggested you talk to High Peformance Bulbs regarding their CANBUS balllasts that appear to work. It is in the "Lease Expensive HID..." thread. Also, both turn signals in the headlight do not work.

The xenon errors of flickering on and off and going off can be easily fixed by doing some minor coding to the car.

Was it as "simple" as adding the xenon option to the VO? Please tell me more. I'm about to pull the trigger on a set of Depo lights with a HID retrofit that is "guaranteed" to work in the 1-series but would very much like to pick up a set of OE HIDs instead and I have a line on affordable European ones to boot. If you don't want to share the info here, feel free to PM me. Also, what year is your car?

I purchased boatloads of kits and error cancellers (which are horribly overpriced by the vendors on the forum and are EXACTLY the same as the ones on Ebay). The error comes from the ballast itself. You need a ballast with CanBus technology so that it can make the error go away. Now you will have vendors charge a few hundred dollars because a CanBus ballast works and you guys are desperate and they will claim because of its new technology that communicates with the car makes its wayyy more expensive to manufacture and blah blah blah. The fact of the matter is that CanBus has been around for a while and it is not exorbidantly expensive.

I now ride with these Depo headlights completely error free and error canceller free!!!!! Was it crazy expensive no, was it a PITA, no. I tested the kit out personally and there is only one HID set that I tried that works error free.

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=435925

I was the test dummy pre-lci car and it works. Want error free and prevent headaches with filling out return forms and going to Fedex and all that BS. Buy these, enough said.
So you when you bought these you just got the headlight from jlevi and purchased the HID kit from http://www.highperformancebulbs.com/h7hidcoki.html? And that gave you no errors?

I was so excited to buy these lights, now I'm not even sure I want to.

Disclaimer: I don't have Jlevi's HID kit, but I have their Projector90 headlights with LED angel eyes.

The Retrofit Source Canbus error eliminator did not work. It also prevented my turn signals from working. Without their unit, the turn signals work fine, but the low beams don't work. Weird.

I get a low beam error, and they go out completely after a couple minutes.

Still waiting for a solution...

Hey Guys,

I'm new to this site and am interested in buying the Depo headlights from Jlevi for my Uncle. I have been reading through lots of threads on here and I'm skeptical of buying these lights now.

What's the verdict? Has Jlevi fixed any of the problems? Has anyone bought the DDM tuning HID kit and using the Depo projectors? What is the CanBus projector? Have you guys fixed the problems yet? How is the reliability and how is the Depo headlights standing up? Is there any problems with moisture getting inside of the headlight housing?

Thanks and sorry for the rant.

The headlights themselves are very nice, it's the HID's that are the problem. DDM kit does not work. I'm looking into canbus ballast featured in this thread:
