If you don't like that, then it's not for you" is not good business. Hell, I'll make you an even better exhaust! How do I know this? because I say so. Just a load of crap really. I think people on here have pretty much given up on HPF honestly. Hope you get what you're looking for though. truly!
Area = 3.14159 X radius X radius

dual 2.5" pipes

cross sectional area = 2 X area with 2.25" ID =

2 X 3.14159 X 1.125 X 1.125 = 7.952 sq inches

ID=Inner diameter

Again you are wrong! So genius, explain that. You want the facts, here they are. HPF is busy actually working, actually doing R&D to keep the customers with $$...happy. This is what I want and here are the facts.

If they come out with good products, I will look at them and consider them. But I'm not going to be cheerleading them along as they plan for phantom products. All this does is give them to courage to increase their already very high prices.

This is just like hyping the pretty girl up at the strip club. Before you know it, her heads to big and you can't even get a good dance without spending major dough cause she now thinks she's the ish.

Ive never paid for pussy so I dont know what ur talking about. Im not cheer-leading shit, just posting the FACTS. I was trying to help the community by asking them what worked and what didn't work with the current meth kits and clutch kits. I was trying to build interest so I could speed up the production process. Do any of you guys actually read the info I posted on the first post...? Some of you guys AMAZE me with stupidity. This has nothing to do with price. Get your head out of your ass.

So the listed info on these exhausts is not ID? If that's the case, then you're right. If you calculate like I did where the listed diameters were the inners, the HPF would not have more area....approx 9.6 vs 9.8 sq inches with the dual 2.5 (ID) winning of a single 3.5 (ID). But apparently that's not the case, so I digress on that. Does anyone make an exhaust for these cars with dual 2.5 ID pipes?

the air flows through the ID, not OD my friend. Lastly, flow rates matter, any kind of turbulence(mufflers) disrupts airflow. Show me another exhaust that has as few of bends and has greater than 8.29 sq in of ID piping. You have a tough task man ahead of you my friend. Does the single fat pipe supra setup ring a bell for any of you guys that have been in the tuning game for a while...yeah if it can support those monsters. I think that the single 3.5 is gonna hold strong for a good while.

No, the guys that were "uniformed" simply stopped commenting bc they were proven wrong...simple as that. I have purchased the exhaust. Again, its not like it magically appears on my door step the day it came out. They are waiting for packaging and they are going to send it out as fast as they can to me.

Thanks but I will discuss what they have told me on fri/sat. I wish it were that easy. Although I havent contacted southbend yet, I did look at their website, they dont have a clutch listed for the 335i, therefore they will have to put one together, just the same as HPF will do. Except HPF is actually going to test on their shop car b4 they release it to the public...can southbend do this?

It is, the internal seals have been changed on the "updated" hpfp. Read the BMW TIS.

I have no idea, give them a ring. They are very good clutches and i'm willing to bet cheaper than anything HPF will resell to you . Their stage V is rated to 720lb/ft if I remember correctly. Combined with a stock flywheel most users claim stock pedal feel and driveability....that is fantastic! we will not be seeing 720lb/ft out of this motor for a long time if ever.

Thanks. I will give um a call. Only thing I really value is tested products tho. I like to KNOW it will work. But hey its worth some time on the phone to find out.

I can tell you they work great in all the BMW's ive seen so far making far more HP/TQ than the n54 is capable of right now. I dont see any reason a N54 flywheel would make a difference.

just trying to bring options to the board.

AE Performance catless exhaust! 2.5 ID pipes. At least that's what it is for their v1 exhaust. I made sure by calling them.

So yeah, 2x2.5 ID has a higher cross-sectional area than a single 3.5 ID pipe which means they will flow slightly more.

Penn999,

Honestly, the differences are so minute that it won't matter. The catalytic converters are BY FAR the largest flow restriction. After that any catless exhaust system will flow sufficiently for huge amounts of power. You make it sound that HPF products are better than sliced bread.
