That is a good question. I have wondered the same thing. My guess is it doesn't really change shift points, which is basically the difference between DS and D. Right? So it probably really doesn't matter what drive mode you have your car in, the shift points will be the same, they will just be happening more quickly because the car will be moving so damn fast!:rocks:

Xede-to-PROcede converts don't have to worry about the pending order of connectors from Japan since they don't need them to convert (they already have them in their Xede harness which they will be re-using with the PROCede). But they do need proper instructions which I'm working on now. The conversion harness are made, courtesy of Dustin, so all that is left is instructions/pics.

Shiv and Dustin,

Any update, especially for us XEDE Beta Testers??? What are the chances of our PROcede's (w/ conversion harness, instructions/pics) shipping out this week? Thanks.

Both Dustin and I are currently in LA for a European car magazine test. We'll be back home tomorrow night and back in work on Wednesday. We have a few conversion harnesses and PROcede ready to ship out to beta guys when we get back. And also I have some pictures for you guys for instructions so that it goes smoothly for y'all.

Shiv,

Will the lucky ones that had their CC's charged last week still be receiving Procedes this week?

They should certainly ship out this week baring any delays from the wiring company that his crimping the OEM terminals on the PROcede harness wires. The rain delay in the magazine testing kinda pushed things off by 2-3 days but we hope to work double time when we get back to the office on Wednesday. It's 9.45pm and Dustin is right next to me in a hotel room editing the installation video right now.

Shiv,
How does the 335i market group compare to the WRX/EVO crowd? Do 335i owners seem as enthusiastic, willing to spend $$, and provide as much demand nowadays?..Or is the 335i market just a tiny speck in the scheme of things for your company?

So, Hotrod, you're asking Shiv which half of his customers he likes. Guess he is thinking about a nice diplomatic answer, that most car fans are great people, and guess what: it is mostly true.

Thanks Shiv, since I was probably one of the last few beta testers, should I expect a longer wait for the PROcede? Or if I'm in your area, mind if I stop by when you are free?

The end of the week is near...any update? Are they ready to go? We're at your mercy!!!

btw -- my car has been running so well with the XEDE, it's hard to think I'll be uninstalling the XEDE to install the PROcede; however, I'm still looking forward to seeing and feeling what the improvements of the PROcede will do.

That would be nice. Calvin told me that they were going to ship at the beginning of January. Actually each of the two or three times that I have called they said they were shipping any day now.

Hopefully they finally get production moving and fill the back orders. I am quite surprised at how patient everyone has been during the several months since Shiv announced the Xede/PROcede.

Soni,

That has been discussed numerous times. The short version is they are working on it. The last that I heard they had plans for some sort of remote control.

After beta testing was done with Xede, it was determined that an upgraded computer was required. Thus the Procede.
