So, in about 5-6 weeks, I should be able to buy the PROcede with a few maps, a switcher and C Reader and have it sent out without delay, as a package ?
Or will there still be a back log of clients in the 6 week time frame ?

Thanks for your repsonse Shiv,

Kurt

install software

You can't install software in XP if you have not given yourself admin rights.
Check the settings under users in the control panel. Re: leaving a cable connected to have it handy to hook-up to computer. I have used other computer controllers and have had a lot of interference with radios etc with a computer cable left connected. It acts as an antenna and can be a real pain. You may have to play with where and how you leave it. I don't get the problem when they are connected to a computer.

jgannonloans, I went through the posts again and noticed that the file is in your temp folder. Is this the location of WinRAR installation file? I am not sure if it's the problem, but you may want to ensure the WinRAR installation file is downloaded to a nontemp folder and executed from the nontemp folder.

OK, I'm confused then. In one of the first posts you asked Shiv if this version is the newly improved and updated version.
He said "yes" and you'll need to upload it into your car.

Well, didn't you HAVE the PROcede installed in your car at the LA dyno day?
If so, then why would you need to upload this new and improved version into your car if it's what we already have?
Also, the torque numbers that Shiv lists then are not really correct as most of the auto cars have torque rating in the 350's and some even in the high 340's.
So I thought this was an updated version that might give us even more torque?

With separate maps for s1/s2, are there any specific details for a catback setup that would optimize the s1 map?

Why relpace the stock exhaust with a whole new catback rather than just deleting the 2nd cats with a straight pipe? Are the stock mufflers that restrictive? I'm fine with the stock exhaust sound and want that last chunk of gain with minimal acoustic deviation from stock.

Also, ala the 997 Turbo chrono package 'sport mode', is there any chance of a transient boost increase map with Procede (like a tad more boost for 10s with a cool down interval), or is there no room for even short lived gain from adding another psi for 10s with the stock snails? Shiv mentioned some level of end user control over basic parameters, but could this include a more sophisticated logic like the above mentioned scenario.
I am also interested in edgarj's questions above...particularly the one regarding the stock muffler. Aside from the cat delete, the muffler is all we are changing with a new catback exhaust right? The question...is the stock muffler THAT restrictive compared to an aftermarket...specifically, does it really matter that far down.
I’d like mine to look and sound as close to stock as possible.

The factory mufflers are restrictive. It would appear that replacing those with something free-er flowing is just as helpful as deleting as set of cats. They make the car sound a whole lot better as well.

As for the 997tt-like overboost feature, that will eventually be implemented in the 335i PROceed. There are a couple other things we want to do first with regards to boost control. That will just be the icing on the cake.

Is this something that can be upgraded to current owners or is a replacement unit needed?

It will be a simple software update that the user can do him/herself with a laptop. No need to replace any hardware.

The PROcede is already going to have the stage 0 map preloaded (if you ordered it that way) so just install the thing on your car. I'm sure once more people have the Procede and start loading various maps, there will be more support but right now nobody needs to upload anything....

I assume you've deleted it and redownloaded it to make sure the first download wasn't corrupted.

yeah i've tried to repair the file and it says that it is not corrupted, i've tried to click and drag the setup.exe into the wirar program and it says the archive is either in unkown format or damaged, but what does that mean??? it also said it was not damaged and the format should use winrar correct?
