He just mentioned its within specs. Actually, the slight rattle/squeak has calmed down the last few, i am thinking either the seats have broken in or its weather-related. Just wasn't too thrilled that the CA wasn't willing to entertain the concern a little bit more.

However, I am kind of worried as my next appointment next week will be more intrusive i.e. replacing the passenger recognition sensor mat etc. I just hope a whole can of worms isn't being opened...

I am guessing its the pressure sensor in the bottom cushion for both the airbag (our airbags does not deploy when the front passenger seat is unoccupied or below a certain weight) and for the fasten seatbelt reminder...

LIke I said, it seems the pressure of lower part of my leg, (stopping, gas, brake, moving to left or right, shifting ) anyone else? Idon't think the dealer would fix this, or even know what Im talking about. I hear it because I drive it. Taking it on a 1 minute trip don't work.
Yeah *fingers crossed*, haven't had a squeak for 2 months now since putting the seat thru all its maximal range of motions.

On the lubricating solutions, that was just about scoffed at by the CA. He mentioned that he has never heard of such a solution and that I should't believe everything I read on the internet I let that one go, it was too darn early in the morning to argue.
Hmmm, looks like you should get a different SA.
And if that doesn't get you anywhere, you'll need to take it up with the manager of the service dept.

I had this same experience...very squeeky, noisy seats. It was driving me insane. Sound came from both the driver and passenger seats (automatic/heated seats). The first visit to the dealer was a dead-end, but the squeeks continued. Took it back a second time and this SA was much more knowledgeable and said this was "a fairly common issue." They removed and installed the seat outer trims and lubed the seat base hinge points with something called "Kluberplex." I just picked up the car and the sound is ALL GONE! Tell this to your SA or else they won't know what they are looking for. Good luck!

My seats actually squeak randomly and annoyingly when I turn sometimes. There's a weight shift and the plastic surrounding the base of the seats becomes unusually loud. I can't seem to replicate the noise by moving around the seat myself. It only happens during turns...
