alot quiet than AD08 of course but a bit bit noisy than my previous goodyear F1.......i found my previous setting of 225 and 255 reach its limit and cannot make the car body stable when drive fast........and that's why i upgrade the size to 235 and 265, now the rolling reduced and the handling alot better in cornering but the only shortfall is less responsive from starting and the fuel consumption is not good than before......

I am noticing some vibration through the steering wheel when accelerating and driving at high speed, something that did not occur with my old conti tires. This vibration dosen't happen everytime, but now and then when I step on it, the steering wheel starts shaking a bit. These Goodyear Eagle F1s are properly balanced and the wheels are correctly aligned.

I read somewhere this has something to do with a "flatspot" as in the tire "remembers" the location of where it contacts the ground. But I'm told this occurs only when the car is not driven for extended period of time (weeks or months) or stored overnight in cold temperature (surely not right now in the sweltering June of Hong Kong). I last drove the car just yesterday, so overnight in a min. temp. of 28 degrees celisus should not cause flatspotting (or am I wrong on this? Anyone know?) So what else could be the problem?

I see, hmmm....chicken leg...you mean the control arms? How do you say that in Chinese exactly? "Gai Gert" or "Gai Par"? And the rubber bushing is "busie" in cantonese right?

Thanks, yeah I know. But I need to know how to explain it in Chinese to the local garage guys. They are skilled mechanics, but having come back from Canada (and haven't previously driven much in HK prior to getting my bmw) I don't know the correct cantonese slang for the technical stuff like control arms or macpherson strut etc.

It's funny, I only encounter the problem at high speed, and the steering vibrations gets worse the faster I go, hmmm..what could be the problem?

The vibrations is through the steering wheel with a thump-thump sensation. It only occurs at...ahem...very high speed.

Any garages to recommend? I'm through with the one I went to. Naturally, a honest, reliable, skilled and reasonably cheap garage would be the best, preferably HK Island, maybe Kowloon too.

one in gold coast, quite nice, not that expensive...

yuen long quite cheap but a bit far.....

etc...

does it shake at a constant certain speed... e.g 120 km/h and it starts?

Oh..eh..it starts appearing faster then that. The thump-thump noise start appearing and the steering wheel starts vibrating, which gets worse the faster I drive.

Yeah, faster it goes, the stronger it gets. The vibration is primarily through the steering wheel and and also hear the thump-thump noise.

Try swapping the wheels around back to front ... See if there is a difference if not u really should just go to a garage to inspect it

Thanks for the offer , but I don't want to take up your valuable time. Maybe just tell me the directions? Dosen't really matter which one, just pick which ever is the best one in service, reliability and price.
