My car arrived at the dealership this morning. Flying down on Friday morning ot pick it up.

I hope all of you get your cars soon. This forum has been therapy for me. For starters it reminds me I'm not the only person who is obsessed with tracking my car and secondly, it helps to pass the time.

ALJLIN - Congrats!

We are all getting so close, after waiting a long time for this. Though, I have to admit, mine went pretty quickly. I place my order on 3/7. Under 8 weeks is pretty good.

nice you placed your order the day I picked up my car in Munich! I placed my order in January... Almost ready! Hopefully it is at vpc already and almost ready to be shipped

It must have been great taking delivery in Europe. I would really like to do that. It wasn't in the cars this time. With a 1 year old and 4 year old at home it's a bit difficult to get away for so many days. Perhaps next time.

Maybe you will have your car by Friday/Saturday.

It was an amazing experience! Just going to Munich, driving around the autobahn in the new car, seeing the car with .5 miles on it. The factory tour was cool, seeing the 3 series bodies being built, and knowing that my car was there only a week before in that form. We were only there for 4 days, but we also got to do the Geneva Auto Show which was across the street from the drop off point which was FUN! :-)

Maybe next time you are looking for a new car and your kids are older, you can maybe do a joint europe trip and get a new car, so that you can enjoy the new car in europe while taking your kids for a nice sight seeing trip around europe. Definitely a good way to do a vacation while seeing all stuff BMW/cars for part of the trip.

Any update on your pickup status? Were you able to get your car yesterday? My car I believe was shipped to VPC, so it may have not been there by the time you got there but just checking to see if you got your car yet. :-)

Now just anxious waiting for the car to finish @ VPC (still doesn't show at VPC, but boat tracking system says it was delivered so I think that means it's at VPC) and then shipped up here. Hopefully soon!

well i picked up the car and drove back for cali wow what a drive well im back now adn all is good time to put a few parts on the car tomorrow

Yay my car finally showed on the BMWUSA tracking page that it's at the Preparation center... maybe that means it's ready to be shipped? I know it arrived on wednesday.. Let's hope! Hoping it gets up here and can pick it up by monday... :-P

We picked up our E91 M sport last night! Its beautiful. I will be doing a detail this Sunday and then will post up some pics. Sorry, but work is getting in the way till then.... oh well gotta make thouse payments. :-) And Yes, I did ask the dealer not to clean the car.

Boo looks like I won't get mine until next week, my dealer says ETA to arrive at dealer is Tuesday 5/3. And who knows if that will get delayed too but looking at positive side that there is an ETA now.

Aljlin - I'm sorry to hear you have to wait until Tuesday, but as you said, I'm sure it's nice knowing the date.

I flew to LAX today and took delivery. The process went perfectly and we drove north to Santa Cruz where we are now. Loving it. It is hard to avoid the temptation to break 5500 rpm's, but I'll resist the urge. I'll post more info once I get home.

The drive back to Seattle went perfectly. I cannot believe how nice HWY 101 is. Very smooth pavement and almost no traffic. It made for a fun drive. I have to say, keeping it under 5500 RPM's was tough, but we managed to do it. Hearing that engine start to growl around 3500 RPM's just makes you want to push it to red line.

I was also surprised that we avereged about 19.5 MPG. All highway of course, but I thought it would be worse.

We only took two pictures, one at the dealership, which I don't have with me, and one here. I know, lame picture. I wasn't even trying to ge the car in the picture, I took the picture from my iPhone for an entirely different purpose. Anyhow, once we have some nice weather and I have some time I'll get a few more snaps.

Did just notice that your rear head rests are completely different than mine. Tour three rear head rests are the same, where you press the button to raise it up/down otherwise keep it low. Whereas my rear head rests are two small regular head rests and middle one is like yours. Wonder if that has to do with the M3 vs non-M 3 series.

I'm anxiously waiting for word that my car arrives up here at the dealer.

I did notice the head rests when I was installing the car seats last night

My 335i was the same as yours. The two regular head rests on the outside seats and the smaller one in the middle. It must be an M3 thing.

Wow...I love the look of the M. Your tints will make it look even meaner I would love to see some pictures once its all done.
