The Hi Fi system can be upgraded with and amp and front
speakers quite well.
It still won't be cheap though.

somewhat dead thread i know, but how was the JL amp fixed into the trunk? is that velcro/double sided tape holding it in place?

YouTube video will show you, search it. From what I watched they hammered the existing oem amp black rack then measured holes which paired with the JL AMP then used bolts to hold it down.
