Are these new V5 maps friendly with the latest BMW software update?

Since the underboost code is 30FF; is this the code that most people have been seeing. I have been running the 5-10 Maps which most have said "fixed the problem". Is this what most have been experiencing?

Thanks!

Yeah I just swapped back to the 12-17 maps..I misfired again..cyl 6..the same issue I had before, thought its been resolved, but for some reason its re-appearing. overall the car is running strong with plenty of power, just when I go WOT cruising on the highway, it downshifts to 3rd, and runs all the way up to redline, then throws the code and starts to limp. I dont understand why it wont just upshift into 4th around 6.5k and avoid the misfire..It does it in D or DS.

When I put it into manual and shift it myself..no issues cause I shift around 6.2k. Why wont the car shift on its own prior, and is there any way shiv can work on somehow giving us the ability to control the shift points?

Under the user parameters menu at the very bottom set the "Boost Control Gain" to 50.

The car becomes a complete dog, no power and runs like crap until you restart it then its back to life. Its been suggested to get BMW software update it will fix that.

My boost gain is set to 100%. I do not know if that changes when I am connected or not; but it is set to that right now. Should I lower that to 50%?

You need to be connected. It's not 100%.

Updates on these maps (semi public beta)?

I'm going to Sac Raceway Wednesday and would love to test them vs my 5-10 6AT maps.

I test drove the 6-1 beta maps today and they are great!

The most significant seat of the pants change is the boost ramp up......it has been reverted back to the older logic and there is noticeably less lag when you get on the throttle.

The overall power delivery thereafter is very good......ie it pulls and pulls

Oh....and did I mention it's still smooth after all these years?

I can agree with Ilma: best of both worlds. It feels more lighter-on-it's-toes ready to pounce

Thank goodness! Changing the Boost Gain from 45% to 50% made a difference, but it was slight. Not even close to the old maps. And I'm talking about going back to V4, 8-17 maps!
