I could get my DSG A3 tdi to sound like the gearbox was being yanked out if I slowed at a junction and then floored it just before it stopped, I'm surprised there are not more failures on these as it sounds horrific.

I'm looking at 325D E92 or C coupe.

In which case.

C coupe has standard

Front ,Rear Parking Sensors (Rear only on BMW)
DAB Radio (Extra on BMW)
Bluetooht (Extra on BMW)
Adaptive Xenons (Normal Xenons )
NO Run Flats with a spare wheel (blessing)
USB interface (extra on BMW)

Plus few other bits not major but like

boot can be opened with a key and remote or from inside the car without removing the ignition
Boot opens fully by itself a blessing when full of shopping.

So yes Paint and Leather is extra but as I prefer alcantara and cloth due to my skin and would have to pay for metallic paint on the BMW. The C starts to make sense.

Yes I love the e92 shape probably more but the financial side makes more sense especially the bhp output vs engine size thus economy

Just case what it can be remapped to

I think once figures are in a longer test drive will be needed to gauge better the car and practicality.

Both cars have their merits but if e92 as it stands is coming out far too expensive for what I want to do right now merc might just be it
Think I would rather save c.£2K on leather and metallic paint and pay a few hundred quid for USB i/f (likely), DAB (unlikely), B/T (maybe), front sensors (no), adaptive xenons (no) if I wanted them; I don't find those options a good compromise for leather and metallic paint financially or otherwise!

Oh and don't forget another £1,095 for electric memory seats...
