Hmmmm, so it doesn't flow quite like the Hartge one, huh? Like right into the rear fenders? I'm up in the air, gotta see painted pics. I can wait.

Picus, can you elaborate a little more on what you mean?

Sure, I will try. OK, check out the Hartge lip spoiler.

Notice how at the ends of the spoiler, where it meets with the rear fenders, in flows perfectly? As if the spoiler were just an extension of the rear fender? You could run your hand along the rear fender and not even feel the spoiler (aside from the trunk line), it's perfectly flush.

Now check this one.

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...1&postcount=64

See how the spoiler is raised up over the natural line of the rear fender? So if you were running your hand along the top line of the fender you would reach the spoiler and feel a bump as your hand moved up?

The difference really is that the Hartge one is flush and more subtle. The JLevi once is not flush, but at the same time is much more aggressive (not a bad thing). I just want the subtle flush look.

I hope this makes sense. The JLevi spoiler looks good, but I am waiting for a Hartge replica, or another than is flush with the rear fenders, one smooth line.

Looks great! I think it definitely "finishes" off the rear end of the E92 335i Coupe, and I'm looking forward to installing my ordered painted rear lip spoiler. btw -- would you recommend having another person help me out to line it up and tape it down or is an easy 1-man job? Thanks.

picus, you are right that Hartge's spoiler's definitely flows better with the car; personally I like the slightly tilting up spoiler from JLevi because it's a little bit more aggressive, and financially it makes sense (half the price as Hartge), on top of that Hartge spoiler's been on back order for a while. Hopefully I will be the first to post the painted pic of the spoiler so that we can do the spoiler from JL a bit more justice.

It may stand out more because of the contrast in color. But, at least it's a couple of pics. Hopefully there will be some painted pics next week... soon (whateve that means) I'm still undecided.

It's definitely something you could do on your own but it's nice to have someone else hold down the other end while you line it up and work your way down.

I realize that...BUT...if someone can make a spoiler like the one that you have made why has no one designed one like the M3 lip for this car? It is the best looking in my mind and on Bastuck from Europe has one I believe and even they are a few months out on delivery of theirs due to a supplier problem...

Well the idea is to get it as close to the M3 lip as possible which can't really be done well without having an OEM version to model it after in hand.
