Vessel: Courage 4/23 departure support thread

Anyone in the Midwest? My CA said that my car would hit the shore on 5/9 whereas the ww website says that it won't hit charleston till 5/12. Now unless my CA knows that it's getting off at Baltimore and not at charleston, then I don't understand. Anyone else in the midwest that is getting off at baltimore? Also, do you guys think I should have the rear spoiler installed before I pick up the car?

Didn't know anyone was getting off at Bmore? Does BMW even have a VPC in Bmore? I know the ship stops there but not sure it's off loading any beamers? Does your vin on the WW website show a destination of Bmore?

I am 45 minutes from BMORE and my dealer is about the same. My car is getting off in NY.

Here is the latest update. I don't know what time 1800 is standardized to. It's 1800 UTC, which I think was aroung 1:00 CST, but I am not 100% sure.

CST is UTC -5 during DST and UTC -6 not during DST.

None yet. It is not mandatory for the ship to log its location once it is in the atlantic, so it depends on if the captain wants to or not. We may have routine updates, or we may not hear from it for a couple of days.

No, I don't think there is a VPC in Bmore, so my CA must be full of crap! But who knows, maybe the ship will get here ahead of time. You think?

I just got a reminder call from my CA letting me know that my car was on the ship due into Charleston 5/12

, so I don't think it is due any sooner or else he would have mentioned it to me.

He also said he should have it between 5/16 and 5/23.

It sounds like you have an honest CA. Mine on the otherhand has lied to me fromt the getgo, but then again I'm driving around in an X3 (not near as cool) for free until my car gets here.:rocks:

Yes, He has been very up front about everything. He told me from the day I signed to expect an 8 week delivery, and it seems it will be exactly 8 weeks. I have been working with him since Oct when the 335 came out, and he has been patient, and helpful every step along the way. The only thing he couldn't help me with was the price. But he was honest and said due to the high demand, the dealership was not negotiating on the 335 coupes. This is what I heard from all the dealers in the DFW area.

By the way, how did you pull off a free car while you wait? Someone was just asking about that in another thread(I think it was MoreCowbell). If it is a long story and in another thread, just let me know and I will search for it.

Very strange, I logged into my owners circle and the status shows "Retail". which it isn't. It's on the Courage. What does everyone elses status state?

said mine was in transit which makes sense since it is on the Atlantic in the middle of the English channel

No big story, my CA convinced me to come to his dealership b/c he could get the car in 4 weeks b/c they have more allocations. He said that he would find a black on black 335i that was already in production and just add my options. Turns out he is a pathological liar and I have caught him in other lies. But he did live up to what he said, that if the car didn't show in 4 weeks he would give me a bmw to drive around. They way I negotiated that was simply saying that I will be counting on the car arriving in 4 weeks and I'm selling mine in the meantime and made him promise the car would be there in 4 wks. Needless to say I'm on week 7. I should have bought it from the first dealership that was actually honest with me in saying that it would be 8 weeks.

I think this is the OEM rear deck spoiler. Is this what you are talking about.
