2007 E93 335i  [0.00]
Hey guys put some pictures of my car. Follow this link:

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=64157

I have the oil cooler..so im very happy. I think only 335i with sport package get the oil cooler. If you dont have the sports package I think your screwed. I dont understand why BMW did that. All 335i should get the oil cooler.

Congrats on receiving your new ride, it's totally awesome. Makes me wish I would have ordered the E93. I hope your right about the sports package. Even though I do have the sport package I really think BMW should of included it on every 335. Thanks for the info and enjoy your ride.

so
you HAVE the oil cooler in your
COUPE,
see, I have a sedan w/sports package: no oil cooler.
My theory is coupe's have it, sedan's don't.

same engine, same set up right.?
I WILL drive mine hard,
I'd bet money, much harder than most coupe drivers (no offense or disrespect intended at all).....I'm just a psychopath.

The reason I bought the sedan (last 4 years 325 coupe) was to be able to use that back seat. It was so nice the first day to throw a package in back seat w/o lifting the seat and getting in some weird position to get it out.

Old style sedans were ugly. I was a sedan hater.....but the new style: I actually like sedan shape over coupe: provided there are cool 18+ rims on it.

K

How are you guys liking these runflats?

they feel, it's hard to describe.........not as flat/low/stuck to the road as my old car w/Michelins on felt.

I"m ok with them, but I think regular tires will feel better. I'm just waiting until they break or wear down; then I already went to talk to the place to buy Mich. sport ps2 .....

the dealership can shove that tire warranty up their god$@@m A$@$ss

I still haven't called or been called, this is actually a pretty busy week for me at work... client meetings every day this week. So as silly as this sounds, I hope it isn't ready till Friday afternoon.

She is finally home!

Had 5 extra miles since the last time I saw her in Munich. Rear lic plate was gone but thats ok cuz I took the front one back with me on the plane.

First day of driving was busy..work...errands, etc. and i put on another 120 miles today.

i just checked and i have no oil cooler? production was in feb, so i guess it is mar builds and on that got the oil cooler.

maug1 - has yours arrived yet??

Mr. Echo:
My wife got her car (the 328 arctic coupe last Friday). I spoke to my CA today and he told me that my 535, after 11 days at the VPC (arrived on the Carmen) was finally released yesterday. I am hoping it gets on a truck today so I can pick it up on Saturday. The VPC did not fix the wheel that was damaged on the 328 and I have to take it back next Wednesday for the repair. They are going to fix the wheel instead of replacing it. Enjoy your car

Did your CA tell you when your vehicle left the VPC? My car spent a while at the VPC, I wonder if it had some work done to it or maybe just too many BMW's in front of it. By the way it still has not left Long Beach as of yesterday. Hope we get our rides soon.

I actually paid him a surprise visit yesterday to see where we stand. He said it arrives here tomorrow, but it will take some time to unload it, inspect it and clean it up, so we set up an appointment for Wed, 10am. We shall see...

It's sad you had to pay him a suprise visit; he should have called you with the status. If he is truthful, thats awesome. I am kind of pissed because my vehicles stayed at the VPC for so long. I'm trying to figure if it had anything done there, perhaps the oil cooler retrofit since it was supposed to be done at the factory for vehicles produced in March and after. I hope that is the case and it was not damaged. I hope you get your car on Wednesday. Were you able to track your vehicle on the Matson website? I will go on there to see when ships are supposed to arrive from Long Beach. Good Luck.

I entered my VIN on the matson web site and nada. Could be Horizon, but I didn't see any kind of tracking system there. When I was at the dealership, they said something about my car being held at the VPC for a while for some kind of "programming." They didn't have any more info than that.

How was your 10am appointment? Did you pick your car up? If so post pix when you get a chance. They told me my vehicle should be here today, but no call so I guess it hasn't arrived. I think they must tell everyone that their vehicle got held up at the VPC for programming. Hope you're enjoying your ride.

Here's a link to an interesting clip on the oil cooler that makes it seem there is a problem.

http://videos.streetfire.net/search/...2e00d8e8cc.htm

the oil cooler situation was resolved sorta... oil cooler only comes with sports packet vehicles. a car without an oil cooler should be fine unless you drive your car on a track. I currently don't have an oil cooler and the highest my oil temp has gone up to was 270-275 in 90-100 plus degree weather.

if anyone else has any info or first hand exp please... do tell!

OH! and the service manager for New Century stated that it's totally normal for a car without an oil temp to reach 290-300. "NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT"

Wed 10am got cancelled but rescheduled to today at 2:30pm which was not cancelled.

Unfortunately, now there's way too much traffic to have any fun. Have to wait till tomorrow to take it out...

I'll post some pictures after my first wash. It was beautifully detailed when I picked it up (no dealer-installed swirl option) but there's so much construction in my area that it's all dusty now...

Congratulations!!! Unfortunately my car is still in California. I called today and they said my vehicle had to get its paint treated before shipping to Hawaii and some programming done. I asked them to do a little more research to see why there is such a delay. They should be calling me tomorrow. Post pix when you can and enjoy.

it's "normal'' means....it is very likely to happen?

It is also "normal'' for the air bags to deploy if you run into a brick wall doing 60mph.......You still don't want it to happen.
WTF!
The manual says a warning light will come on if it's too hot.....I'd like to know at what temp that happens.

The service manager gave me the bs jerk around too.
