I've found that cheaper wheels are normally made of a softer alloy.

They do buckle easier but tend not to be as brittle and prone to cracking.

Any chance of the link to the source of the cheaper ones?

A few guys had a group buy for CSLs earlier in the year and paid about the same money as mentioned in here.

Sure a lot of guys will be looking for a good deal.

The alloy shop is autoalloys.com in Northern Ireland, the discount is only open to members of an Irish car cruising forum.

I tried to post the link but for some reason its not working. If you have a look on their site you will see the csl listed.

Yeah I see 2 CSL wheels listed. One looks good the other looks very flat.

Anyways the better wheel is £135.48 each, £541.92 total. The estimated postage is another £20. £561.92 total to my door.

The cheap looking ones come in at £464 total.

The MV4 replicas are also more expensive.

If the discount is a special discount available to only certain individuals it's hardly right to knock this guy and say his wheels are expensive when you are going to find it difficult to find them cheaper elsewhere.

Can the guy afford to knock 20% off the better ones or are you comparing nicely finished 313s against the cheapest looking CSL replica on offer?

Remembering the 313s are the in demand wheel at the moment and they have the extra expense of a diamond cut face on top the the casting and coating, can you not see the price is pretty fair?

The CSL that you see listed is the wheel im referring to, it is flat looking because you are looking at the front wheel, the rear wheel in this set is 9.5 width with serious concave.

I am aware you can get front and rear concave CSL which is all well and good, but i believe these are more authentic looking as the genuine e46 M3 CSL only has rear concave.

The discount is available to forum members as the alloy shop are registered traders on the forum, and it is completely free to join as a member, thus the discount is available to everyone.

Diamond cut faces on alloys are down to personal taste, i personally would try to avoid them as i had a set of merc reps on my old mk5 golf and they started to corrode and cloud quite bad

I didn't mean flat as no concave. I was meaning flat as in dull poor finish. The wheels look cheap.

The more expensive ones look better as do the 313s posted here.

Diamond cut faces are personal taste. It does not hide the fact it's extra cost to machine the face to achieve the finish in the first place. Diamond cut wheels do require more care but I'm sure loads of people will make them last. Although there is always a question mark over the quality of any replica wheel.

You said they were too expensive for replicas and the site you talk about has the cheaper wheels for £10 less and the others are £90 more, less discount.

313s are the wheel of the moment and in high demand but still costs less than most of the replica wheels from that site.

I don't understand why you joined the thread to say they were too expensive when you can't come up with anything that looks better value?

I see your guy does not have 313 replicas, so if the guys want 313 I guess they will have to pay £475.

Anyone would think you were on commission lol Dont go by poor quality pictures, i have seen these wheels in the metal and they are first class reps, the finish is much more defined in reality, so much so that im buying a set for my own car

I don't know if anyone can offer any advice.

The left rear wheel is rubbing when I go over any sort of bump. I am running the factory off sets et37 and et39 with 265/30/19.

I spoke to BMAuto sport and they say its not possible so I don't really know what else could be the issue, any ideas?

Received mine this morning. Good service from Chris.

They come supplied with the BMW and M badges and the finish on the wheels is excellent.

If anyone's interested, they weigh in at 11.2Kg/11.9Kg for the fronts/rears respectively.

Some close up pics:

The look great. How well do you think the finish will handle the winter. I'm not sure what to do.
Was initially thinking of these but I'm worried about how durable they'll be.

try changing the wheel from the left to the right..see if you see rubbing on the right..this would find out if its either the wheel or something else is the problem.
