2. Where have you been reading...the PES newsletter j/k? Two different B6 S4s have run 11.92 and 11.96 in the past few months Two different B7 RS4s have run 12.2 ALL MOTOR in the past 10 days Two other B7 RS4s ran 11s in the past few months justincredible's TIP (auto) B6 S4 ran 12.2 @ 116 last week All on pump gas, no meth, no b.s. JHM's supercharger (a massive VORTECH unit) will erase all doubts about supercharged V8 S4s. Well, it already has and it's just getting started. It's around 425 whp in stage I and will be 500+ in stage II guise. There's a couple of engines being built for the supercharger right now, including jason@jhm, so it wlll be tested in the most ignorant fashion to make sure everything's strong. Once that supercharger gets into JHM's in house RS4, with it's forged internals, they're expecting 500+ whp STOCK MOTOR and low 11s is there goal on PUMP GAS. Pretty awesome times ahed Sear. That's why I bought a B7 RS4 last month lol. The B6/7 is doing just fine, thanks. |

Yup, former Audiworld and Audiziner here too.
B5 S4 (wet noodle chassis, but a fun car none the less) B7 Stasis A4 2.0T (better chassis, but less power) My E92 335i handled waaay better stock than either of those cars with the Stasis treatment (coilovers + sway bars) I do miss the AWD for ski trips though. |

i remember the days when I was on the 'zine, I had my b5 A4, and looking to get a B6 s4.
JHM was coming into their own with the long tube headers when I picked up my 335. Unfortunately the 335 was faster stock, and handled much better, and with snows VERY capable in the winter. The B8 S4 however WILL be a problem for probably any non RB'd 335 in 1 years time... |

Not sure what "horror stories" your referring to. That motor in stock form or with bolt ons was actually a pretty reliable platform IMHO. if your are referring to wanting to mod and achieve power goals in excess of 360whp, then thats another story...

I have a 4.2 in my Q7 no issues in 40K miles, on a side note where do I find mods for this thing?

Probably referring to the timing chain issue that those motors tend to have.

fastest B8 S4 on pump gas is now 12.05 @ 114.81 with a 20+mph tailwind (according to the driver).
Anyone figure out what the fastest full interior 335 (54 or 55) on pump gas is? |
