Marketing _or_ tuning?
Looks (from here) like marketing _and_ tuning.
I'm grateful for for the update, and v2.0 looks to be a blowout; but I think you're over-selling this crowd. -Rob

With that sort of power increase, what 0-100kph (0-62mph) times could we expect?
![]() So glad I went the PROcede path. ![]() This message was sent to you at the request of Vishnu Performance Systems to notify you that the package information below has been transmitted to UPS. The package(s) may not have actually been placed with UPS for shipment. To verify when and if the shipment was tendered to UPS and its actual transit status, click on the tracking link below or contact Vishnu Performance Systems directly. So exciting!! Cheers. ![]() |

Shiv, you are the man. It's hard to imagine getting that much power out of this car since it is such a beast already. :rocks:

For those who forget... this is what shiv said could be done with the PROcede, that could not be done with the XEDE. Quote:
![]() Congrats shiv, and keep up the good work! My v2 predictions... VANOS control, raised speed limiters, and gear dependant closed loop boost control... along with encrypted maps and firmware, and new pc software to support all the updating. All this will require is a few extra wires to pop into your harness, and some updates via the serial port. Last edited by RiXst3r; 06-06-2007 at 07:57 AM.. |

Well it's common sense that if you add more power and torque...you'll cause more wear and tear on your engine, and trans..but this car is too new for us to study... but if the N54 is anything like the 2JZGTE, then you've got nothing to worry about... there's a saying..."If you can't handle the heat, stay out of the kitchen" You gotta pay to play...

So will version 2 + exhaust be called stage 2? Great work. I still would like to know your current in-stock levels and/or wait times for the exhaust system.
Thanks. |

I dont see how this would be possible, without another wire for the PROcede to detect gears |

all they have to monitor is speed and RPM, they dont need an input for detecting gears... the PROcede has everything they need to do this

Yeah but still. If a car is putting out more or less power then the PROcede specified, say 100 more horsepower (Just an example) the table the PROcede runs off of would be very off.

Shiv... Have you been data logging EGT at each cylinder? Can you shed some public light on the BMW development team's observation of high EGT's under higher boosts, particularly Cylinder 5 and 6? Terry.. I support your independent research and taking the covers off the Turbo tuner, but this Shiv sniping makes you look like a school aged girl. |

not sure what you mean... gear ratio is determined by speed and RPM, no matter how much horsepower you have, the ratio of speed to RPM does not change. for example... 2000rpms in 3rd gear will be ~35mph, while it will only be ~15 mph in 2nd... on a stock car, and on a procede car. gear dependent boost control could be easily done with some basic if..else.. statements pertaining to rpm and speed. The only time this is different is while revving in neutral, or spinning the tires, but who cares about boost control when free-revving?

welcome to the world of tuning with a piggyback... its all dependent on stock variables. but its also easily re-mapped for non-stock variables. Speed/Gear dependent boost would be no more difficult than any other PROcede feature.

100rwhp over stock is damned impressive for such a "simple" tuning system. Hopefully by the time my car get's here I'll be able to pick up a final version, finely tuned, remote valet/wife switch etc.
One could only hope. Does the n54 use forged internals? |
