Is the prep center the dealership. Or does BMW have like a prep center at the docks where they prep it and than its sent to the dealership...

So the Prep Center is right near the port. The cars go their for a day or so, and then are trucked to the dealers. The dealer then inspects and test the car and preps it for pickup.

I spoke to the trucking company and my car is on the way to my dealer. My dealer confirmed that it will be there shortly after lunch and I can pick it up soon after that!!!

"at port waiting for transport" does this mean its though the prep center and is just waiting for a truck to take it to the dealer?

I callled the 800 number today and got the message that my car is "at the port awaiting a shipping vessel". Anyone else get this message? Does it mean that the car is waiting for a truck or is something screwy. The website still shows it enrounte.
