ASR engineering in Miami. They are in production, cost around 7,000.00 depending on options. Email abid@asrengineering.com

Update

Well today went ok. Turbos are in. We broke the water inlet pipe. Have to source on from a dealer on Monday. Let's just say this is more work than we thought. I am glad to be part of the job. My fiend has a shop and it is just the two of us.

Thanks for following along. Updates with photos tomorrow.

Not on an xi. We had to remove subframe and much more! There is a whole bunch of drivetrain components in the way on xi!!!

Here are some pictures. It is hard to see much. Everything fit great! The only issue was a broken water line that I broke will trying to remove the stock lines from the block. Luckily the part we broke was not a part of the block!! We are as far as we can go until we get a new one this week. All that is left to complete is the water line installation and to re-install the downpipes. I should be on the road by wednesday. Next saturday is a Dyno day and I should be able to due some pulls. I will be running 100 octane and 70/30 meth/boost juice mix. I use boost juice instead of water for consistency. Boost juice is a 49% meth 51% water mix already. 500 awhp is on the horizon!!

Congrats! The advantages (wider compressor wheel, water cooled and no rattle) over RBs are pretty nice and come at an expense. Are you going to run meth to get to 500awhp?

ASR development pictures

So I thought I would share with you some of the information that ASR has supplied to me through out the development of the turbos. You can see all the effort they have gone thru to ensure that these turbos are as efficient as possible and provide the best boost in a "stock" size platform.

The last few pictures show some of the new developments. Their dynamic seal vs. the stock and a the new Billet comp wheel CAD drawing. You can see the one picture of their shop showing these are not made in someones basement. They utilize the latest in CAD CAM machinery and tools.

Needless to say they supplied me with 50+ photos of the development of the turbos as I patiently waited their arrival.

Yes, read my last post again. I explain my mix.

100 octane + meth!

Can these make over 450 in pump or will it be pretty much the same as RBs in that regard?

Awesome to see a 6MT xi going all in!

Your experiences will probably have a big impact on my plans. Can't wait for results, impressions, and drivetrain durability tests

On an xi drivetrain and using only boost juice as your meth mix, I seriously doubt you'll see 500 awhp. I'd bet you would be closer to 450 awhp...

Might want to run straight meth and still then your xi drivetrain will rob you of some power on the dyno.

Read my post again in regards to the meth. I am running a 70/30 straight meth/boost juice mix. I am using boost juice in place of water for the 30. I'm running almost straight meth.

Regardless these make more than RB. I run meth and 93 octane usually.

I was thinking these had already been out for awhile, glad to hear it's something new for the twins after all. The development pictures look pretty awesome, will be excited to see the dyno and how it compares to the other upgraded twin options.
