Wut? With a manual, a clutch upgrade should go a long way in being able to handle a lot of power.

That's awesome. Let's keep pushing the envelope Shiv...safely of course. FBIS, enjoy that monster for yourself some before worrying about everyone else and their q's.

Gz, I'm about sell my 335i just because it seems like Vishnu or HPF aren't going to get the turbo kit ready to sell&ship customers outside US. I've been waiting the single turbo for my 335i more than a year and half. Soon it's time to move on.

This is the same 6MT from the M5 and M6. It can hold this on a 3400 lb car.

It's not the 6MT people are worried about, but more so the 6AT. Their shop car is a 6MT and doesn't seem to have any issues.

Currently driving a customer 6AT single turbo this weekend for testing. 24psi of boost with the "small" 58mm turbo and the trans is holding nicely. The car actually makes more hp/tq than FBIS's car up to 6300rpm.

the dyno result is at the shop. It's from our Mustang Dyno though. I intend to take the 58mm 6AT to the dynojet this week once I'm done with the mapping. It is awesome to drive on the street. Even without meth, it's alarmingly fast

I'd really like to finalize the 6AT tune before announcing any official pricing.

A clutch does not determine the amount of power a transmission will hold

I don't see the reason for this. Bigger turbo has more potential at 5500-6300rpm and you are tuning these down for the longevity of the bottom end and the drivetrain. The bottom end is the same and MT should be as strong as AT if not stronger. Also comes with less drivetrain loss so I'd believe medium turboed MT should have the same or more power at the upper mid range compared to small turboed AT.

Do you think I should go with the 58mm turbo or the 62mm turbo for a 6AT car that will mainly be used for tracking and its tranny will be upgraded soon? I believe the shift point will be raised by 500rpm eventually... which turbo would you recommend?

You could probably find someone to act as the middleman in the purchase, buy it stateside, and then FedEx it to you. They might want a 3% overhead fee or something though .
