@FR
The wife and kids. She was insisting on a truck. Later in the game she has regrets too. We'll try to get out of the lease next year. I would do it sooner, but that'll be too big of a financial hit, since I did a one shot lease payment. That thing costs here penny for penny like the loaded E90 M3 DCT. Then the M for sure, truck or car don't know yet. |

Whatever you decide on, make sure it's an M or (from what I've seen) you're going to regret it! Good luck! |

Thanks! That's definitely going to be M. I was impressed by the TQ and MPG figured of the E70 diesel (my bad). Was thinking the E70 M or the next F15 M but the build quality of an X5 is very poor considering all the problems I'm having with my 2012. The F10 M5 is looks like headed into the same direction built quality wise as the E70. So far I've narrowed it down to E71 X6M or the F30 M3.

I tend to hang on to a car until it starts having problems or is no longer reliable enough to trust on long trips. If I had a car such as the E90 M and I would really like it (I would drive it nicely to keep the mpg's higher except for when the time to "go fast" comes up) I would still keep it a long time. Having the last year of production helps the reliability somewhat too, but nowadays with modular assembly and multiple suppliers its more a question of quality control and design. Most of the reliability issues of the past are not there since all manufacturing has improved 5% - 10% a year if you read the data by JD Powers.
I've noticed BMW people do change cars quite a bit, so its fun no matter what! But @NRG be careful - if you sell your beloved E90 M3 you may wish you didn't in the future because there may be nothing like it ever again. PL |

I, too, am humbled by the presence of one who possesses such coolness.
Indeed. Unfortunately, it will inevitably be brought to the top by every juvenile "kill" story or schmuck looking to label non-m owners as clowns because it is obviously beyond any degree of engineering (OEM or aftermarket) for any vehicle without an m on it to be better than or equal to any vehicle with an m on it in any way, shape, or form. ...here's hoping... Lol. Now that's more like it! It's called "bimmer post", is it not? What say you we spend our time pissing on other brands of luxury cars instead of each other?

Can't we all just get along ![]() ^^^ Truth is 14.2 in the 1/4 is way closer to a stock Accord or even a Civic SI than a E90 M3 so please give me a break. Who are you fooling? Or do you guys sleep better at night stroking each other with comments like these?
