So what is this oracle stuff? If it does not use adhesive how does it stick? Shrinkage or what? How is it installed, looks like it's stuck on and he's cutting excess off. Also, it looks like its not long enough to go across the entire pillar so you'll end up with a crease in the middle?

Just ordered mine. Gonna put my blade skills to the test.

Yeah, I like the blacked out look, but if they gave us these in black, we'd probably be turning them to chrome.

Seems to be quite a few different brands and sizes. Also various mils.

What brand and mil is being used? My buddy said Oracal doesnt carry matte black. They have medium gloss (Oracal 641), but thats "not recommended for vehicle applications".

I believe it's the "ORACAL*970RA*Wrapping Cast Film with Rapid Air ®Technology"

Looks very clean from the photos! As far as trims go, wrapping is the alternative to a paint job.

Lightbulb

I found another site that had both glossy and matte black vinyl. Both sets were really inexpensive.

http://shadowlinetrim.com/index.html

Has anybody had experience with them?

I have used shadow line trim it works well and help up pretty nice....I honestly would either buy oem or bring to a body shop to have them paint the chrome.....vinyl is ok but if you want something that is perfect looking then have it painted....

If there are any imperfections in the chrome trim pieces at all small nics or scratches it is a pain in the ass to get it perfect.....

I am a perfectionist and from 10 feet away it looks great but you are always going to know right where that one spot is....that isn't quite perfect

Got mine wrapped today with Matte Black from Shadowline

Awesome mistake of the year. I drove it to the shop with the top down. They wrapped the whole thing. I didnt check it. Drove home and put it in garage and put the top up.

Oops, going back to the shop tomorrow to finish it up

Dont get the shadowlinetrim one, get oracle or 3m. I have tried both, the shadowtrimline vinyl is so thin, weak, and low quality. It will scratch off easy and lots of bubble. I can tear that vinyl easily but not with oracle which is much more stronger.
