It's pretty simple, keep your car immaculate and it will retain its "newness" as long as possible. I also don't have leather in my current BMW, but still have a "new" smell. I actually preferred the synthetic material since the leather in my last BMW took a beating from all the times I got in the car sweating from the gym, and with the new one it doesn't even matter.
