![]() ![]() As far as cutting the exhaust all you have to do is look for a small dot notch on each pipe. Notch = Cut Point. Super easy. Cutting the mufflers took 15 min for both with ryobi sawzall. Here are the tools used for the cutout install and muffler cut: ![]() BTW I tried Hotchkiss V Brace and don't fit e92 I have it restored and will post it for sell but it should work for e90 so that was a bummer. If you want it PM me. $100 + shipping Fedex would be around $50. I have grinded all surface rust off, primed it, then used rubber car undercoating for rust proofing. ![]() Here is the last video for you all. Thanks for all support and comments. OH ya..... this is how low I sit on my Bilstein PSS 10s for all of you that read the post from the beginning. ![]()

It's made for 335i and it doesn't fit e92 as it hits X cross pipe so I guess it has to fit e90. PM me your location in IL I'll get a quote for shipping. Looking at your SIG... DAMN....Hows those RB Turbos treating you

Thats totally wrong because I have it on my E93...I had to change out the rear control arms to a E92 to make it work on mine! But I have it on my E93 for over 3 years...This brace is a solid piece!

Ya do you have stock exhaust with X pipe? Trust me e92 is hitting the X pipe. Ya it will fit if you delete the X Pipe / resonator or use washers. I'm missing like 1 inch for clearance. Also you have e93 so I don't know maybe your exhaust sits little higher where it actually clears this brace. Can you post pic just curious.

Yeah I don't have Oem exhaust. I have a complete catback exhaust and even then I had no clearance for the Oem brace in the rear. The midpipes had no clearance but with the hotchkis brace it cleared it.

Honestly from what I've heard/read about the VRSF exhaust I think you might not have it properly installed. You should be able to reinstall your vbrace with spacers. I would get in touch with Tiago and talk to him about it he would be the best source to get information on this.

As for Hotchkiss v brace check this post out. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=236854 check post 14. I'm contacting HP Autosport to see if they know because they know a lot!

OK so the reply i got from HP Autosport was that on some cars you have to space the brace away from the exhaust system. On SOME..... So having said that i guess it really depends how low your exhaust sits. You could probably adjust the exhaust hangers and see if it fits. I'll try that today if still don't fit i have a sale pending so it's going out the door. I'm not going the washer route again.

Hey guys, so i made a video of the 335i Exhaust on my car showing how the stock pipes bend along with the resonator behind the stock V brace plate and remus exhaust install. As you will see this Hotchkiss brace will not fit my car even if I bring exhaust brackets 1 in. So i didn't even attempt it but at least I took a video for you all so you can see how it is installed. I'M DONE WITH THIS FOR NOW! Enjoy!!!
![]() Watch in HD i have a crappy cell cam but it will do..... sorry for camera shake but had to crawl like a worm.

You can use the cross brace from an m3. It is a 3 part design.
The left and right sides are independent of each other and it uses the exhaust hanger/brace to tie them together but is not needed for install. |
